we need an FAQ I know there's an FAQ for the site already.
What we really need is a regularly updated FAQ on what goes on around here. Something that will catch up orgers who've been away for a few days/weeks/months, and will provide newbies with valuable information on who to avoid, who hates who, who's nice, what subjects not to bring up, etc. For example, a short list of items might include: 1. 2 lists of newbies. ones that nobody cares about (most of them) and ones that actually are a cool addition to the site. 2. 2 lists of those who are no longer with us. ones that have left in a huff (and probably started an "I'M LEAVING!" thread) and ones who have been deactivated. 3. a list of all the petty and not-so-petty arguments that orgers, as a whole, have been brawling over, and a list of which orgers are on what side, who the key players are, etc. 4. a list of the most popular types of recent topics, for example, lots of sex topics? lots of best-of/favorites lists? lots of theads asking to submit a name for a body part or some other peurile interest? etc. so that we can either add to the stupidity or know what type of thread everyone is sick of. these are just some examples to catch up those who have fallen behind or are new to the site. can you think of any others? | |
