i work in a law firm, do some bankruptcy work. interestingly, the thing that brings most folks down is their credit cards.. you'll see people with assets totalling about one third of their outstanding debt. . really sad. then again, with the example our government is setting (spending money our great grandchildren will be taxed heavily to pay back) it's no surprise so many americans have crushing 'buy now pay later' debt.

i used to have three cards, but got rid of two and have one. use it for emergencies, vacations, etc.

I've had just the one for about 3 years now and never paid a penny in interest. Pay it off fully each month.

I also floss twice a day. smile

We have three.

AE, for company expenses... must be paid in full at the end of every month. Zero fees, zero interest.

Visa, zero interest on all transfers until 04/04... transferred a balance to it... will have it paid off before it can charge the interest. mr.green

Discover, again, zero interest. Open, but no balance "for emergencies"... I'm probably gonna close it...

If you have too many cards out, even if you don't have a balance on it... the credit cards carry a minus with them. Credit review companies are leary of giving you a good rating if your potential for debt is extreme...

My advice to you... Take care of your credit rating. It's really all you have that determines where you stand financially... don't fuck it up!!!

I have 3 that I use. And I'm in debt with them, about $2,000. It sucks. I used to have a $500 limit, which I liked, then they upped it and gave me platinum cards. Fuckers.
