Overdue Library Books. I borrowed a copy of Prince;Imp of the Perverse that was supposed to be returned on the 13th of June 1992.
Im really worried cos i once read a Stephen King short story about "library police". But i dont think we get them in the UK. Fuck the funk - it's time to ditch the worn-out Vegas horns fills, pick up the geee-tar and finally ROCK THE MUTHA-FUCKER!! He hinted at this on Chaos, now it's time to step up and fully DELIVER!!

Ha!
I love "The Library Policeman" by Stephen King. I actually have a fine I was supossed to pay, oh, about 8 years ago. I can't take books out anymore unless I pay the fine, but I refuse to. I am bothered by people who abuse the library system. It's not fair to everyone else. There is nothing worse then wanting to check out a book only to find that someone never returned it or it is overdue.
I am now without guilt going to tell you how great and responsible I am In my entire life have never had an overdue library book or an overdue video from the video store.

Man you really are an anal one aren't you? Between this and the thread about being on time... I am actually very anal about responsibility in general.

I'm so bad about this that I really should just buy books instead of going to the library. I had to pay $45 in fees to my university library the other day. I could have purchased all of the overdue books TWICE for that much.

The library I used to work for recently got stiffer in its policy on unreturned books. They report you to the collection agency with swiftness.

I have a book that is two weeks overdue.
After two weeks, they start to charge you hefty, hefty fines cause it's an interlibrary loan. I'll return it tomorrow, I swear! I mean, like, where is the sun?
