you posted a photo of yourself in another thread...well, funny this should all come up because i think you and i had some sort of brief conversation at one of the parties. it would have been in the winter of 2000 (if i have the right person)...maybe around feb or march...is that around one of the times you attended?

My memories are that it was a great black and purple place that taught me I was not a freak with really strange taste in music. You see I never really knew many P fans before I found this site.It felt like home.

Didn't sfarrell claim that he/she had spent the previous 9 months on prince.org trolling and generally baiting people to produce material for some thesis they were writing on obsessive online fan behaviour???

I liked the "I have a wallet...I like pizza...I am not a nugget" shit myself...

The nasty, NASTY fights on the old place...

Those news-less stretches that lasted for days, when the only relief was bullshit chatting.

The fighting over Rave and TRC.

2the9s's great fake tracklists...

Lightyeargroover and Goldnigga2000...

All of the imposters...

The tag-team flame wars...

The presence of dissenters like JoeyCoco, Bart, etc.

I clearly wasn't flaming enough on the old Org, coz no one remembers me neutral

Admittedly though, I did just spend all my time arguing with Bart, KellyAnne, FACE etc... and agreeing with KingSausage, Aerogram, Wellbeyond etc...

Ah, there were some quality flames in those days...

Two things really stand out in my mind about the old org:

1. The arguments between Wellbeyond and Bart.

2. The arrival of 2the9s and his great humour.

Rock on!!
When I read about the evils of drinking, I gave up reading.

It was black and not as much fun as this version.
Even though the color of this one is TOO yuckie.

And not workers friendly.
All my colleagues KNOW I am not working.

There should be a white version...for work faking people like myself.

***Where's Goldnigga2000? The Sheila E. fanatic...lol

***The flame wars were outrageous.I got into a few of them with Kellyanne. And I recall a heated exchange with EvilWhiteMale concerning 'TRC'.But I was always nice wink

***The Wellbeyond/Bart showdowns were classic smile

***Hey KS,remember our (ill-advised) "plot" where we were gonna stage a vicious "mock argument" just to heat up the threads? (this was during the slow news days of 2000) LOL...I'm glad we both chickened out and didn't go through with it.

Wow... fantastic thread!!!

I remember you David_Milagro!!! lol, I've been an .orger since '98... lurked a lot at the old org, then started posting big time just before it became ver.2.0.

Back then I was "June7Funk", but I'd always sign off as
"-June7", behind every post... and some "may u live 2 see the dawn" or "peace + b wild" ... lol

I also loved... LOVED going to "The Holy River" chatroom, I met a lot of cool peeps there...miss those days...

I remember too, when the transfer to the new org was taking place, I was lost in a haze...wondering when, what, where it's gonna be... I was so relieved to find the new org, and that my name was still available.

Damn... those were the days. smile
