I am listening to Oliver Bean on Fox (mostly the b-ball game) and I was just listening to "I want to take you to the gay bar" over and over again because I clicked on a link on a different thread.

Ever heard his early stuff? Way different from what he's doing now. I somehow came across a copy of his first album (released in 1990) shortly after it came out, and it was quite a surprise when he finally made it big with the rap/rock thing toward the end of the decade. (I also thought he shouldn't have been nominated for "best new artist" awards, since he'd been around for years.)

The early stuff is good for amusement value... I think he was 19 at the time, and he comes across as an R-rated Vanilla Ice. smile (I'll confess that I do kinda like "The Upside," which rips off Diana Ross' "Upside Down.") But I really don't care for his current work.

Coldplay-"I bloom blaum"

Darling, those tired eyes
Go with me all the time.
And in the dead of night
Tell me you will be mine.
Where do you go to, pretty baby?
Where do you go to, when the night wins away.
Ask me so sweetly, what do i do?
Who do I sing for?
Well honey I sing about you.
You.
