And i don't have a concussion I have very high blood pressure . So now i'm on medication and he wants me to lose 10 lbs . He said bodyfat didn't matter, it's the excess weight that's adding to my problem. So 190 lbs here i come

Don't worry mate... I have high blood pressure too, you can still live a normal life And 10 lbs isn't much, you can definitely do it.

My father-in-law has very high BP too, he's been on medication for it since he was quite young (and he's not overweight either).

I had to gain a lot of weight actually, I was too under-weight before and I needed to sustain a more healthy weight. Now I am much more healthy I think.

I've read that high BP is a particularly serious problems for black Americans at the moment, the statistics I've seen look quite scary. So it is great that you are addressing the issue now.

it's a good thing you found out now, rather than later. you might have saved yourself from an aneurysm or something. i knew someone who experienced what you did but let it go until it manifested that way.

Hey SuperC, I'm with ya buddy. You can do it. A good walk everyday helps with everything. Should drop a few pounds and lower your blood pressure. I just found out my cholesterol is too high. It's 231. I'm 36, 125 pounds and I don't eat much junk. I eat lots of vegetarian foods as well. High cholesterol runs in my family, but I'm gonna brink it down without drugs.

I'm glad to hear that you dont have a concussion but I'm sorry to hear that you have high blood pressure, I probably have it too cause it runs on my fathers side of the family, but you'll be ok sweetie, just take your medication like your suppose to and you will continue to live a long happy life.

I know quite a bit about all of it with my dad... he had high blood pressure (but not his whole life), we never knew it was that serious, he had always been extremely healthy, and also not overweight.. but yeah, over the last few year, he did tend to eat a lot of rubbish, hehe..

Last year however he had a heart attack, which shocked us all, I had barely ever seen him sick, nevermind in hospital with a major heart attack and so close to death *sigh*... but thankfully he made it through ok, and is taking meds now... exercises everyday, and lives a really normal life... (whatever that is, lol) But you know what I mean... he's doing brilliantly...

Luckily BP is something you can often control, and manage... and if one manages it (unlike what my dad did before the heart attack) you can often prevent it getting to the point of having a heart attack etc...

I'm sure it will be that way for you sweets! Take care of yourself...
