Should men and women be charged for adultry?

If there was a law that charged men and women for commenting adultry, do you think it would be more of or less then adultry? Cuz if you think about , marriage is basically a legal matter, you have to have a marriage licence and sign a whole bunch of pappers stating that you and this so called person is "legally" joined together. Even if you divorce someone, some people still have to spousle support and if you have children with your wife/husband you gotta pay spouspel support. So I was thinking... with all this law stuff that's you have to deal with when getting married 2 a person, there should be some kinda law for those who plan on commiting adultry. I bet you 9X's of 10, there would be lesser divorce rate and people would think twice before sleeping around on their mate. Marraige is a commitment, I don't know how some people look at it , but I think it's something real serious and you should think twice before doing it.

And making adultry illegal would allow for people 2 see this choice as something more serious, anyways what's y'all take?

No, I don't think so. I think it's an issue of moral integrity within a marriage and the courts shouldn't legislate that. Plus, anyway, in some states proving adultery in a divorce can get a better settlement, so in a way it's already taken into account by the courts.

Abso-fucking-lutely not. Keep in mind that marriage does not mean the same thing to everyone, and marriage is required for certain social benefits. The government must stay out of it. I'm sorry that we have the institution at all, personally.

I'm in the Air Force and yes it is a crime to commit adultry. You can be court marshalled and thrown in jail. I personally don't think the govt. should get involved in affairs of the heart...Heck, it's actually illegal to recieve oral sex even from your spouse under military rules and regs...So let's not say anything to the wife-she's looking for an out..."But baby it makes me stronger..."

Well see I kinda beg 2 differ about that, cuz The goverment is invovled with you raising your children. you can't even really raise your kids the way you want to without the goverment sticking their noses in your business, so why should marraige be any less different ??

Children are unable to look out for their own interests. Your husband or wife is an adult and doesn't need the same level of protection.
