I was writing a paper for my American Popular Music class Fall quarter of my freshman year in college (which was last year) on Prince and Purple Rain. I was surfing around on the net, typing in random URLs to see what I could come up with, and Prince.org was one such website. I joined under the name Nutsycuckoo in hopes of finding information regarding Prince and PR, but no such luck. I came back a few months later, after version 2.0 opened up - I don't remember what prompted me to return. I hated the old layout, by the way. It was so user-unfriendly and aesthetically unpleasing.


2. Why do you still keep coming back?

The people - there are a lot of great orgers on here that I love. I also love to put my two cents in anywhere I possibly can, cause who doesn't love to talk about themself?


3. Who was the first orger that you talked to?

I orgnoted Paisley about Prince moving the date and venue of the Bay Area ONA show last year, which really angered me. Moonbeam was the first orger I talked to on the phone, though. Oh and Anxiety was the first to bitch me out. I still remember that.


4. Out of the orgers who have decided to leave, who do you miss the most and why?

Natasha was awesome and I'm sorry to see her gone. I hope she comes back around sooner or later.


5. Out of the new orgers that have joined lately, who do you think has been a great addition for the org?

JD and JaneyPoos, most definitely. They are nice, playful, and smart... plus hilarious!

ian's Fritos avatar was awesome. But I have always had a special place in my heart for suomynona's smiling stereo. It's darling and fits him perfectly. When he changed his avatar for a bit, I was sad, but he brought his old one back eventually.

Any topics written by the orgers I love. June, Christopher, Azure, 2the9s, Hands, Janey, gooey, any of the Carries, Moobeam, TRON, endorphin, suomynona, bkw, althom, Supernova, giotto, Lleena. In short, if I think you're rad, then I go to your topics.


8. Can you remember your very first thread, and if you can, what was it about?

It asked which Prince songs you would play at your funeral. Pathetic, I know, but it was my 1st thread! And the first response shut me down - they told me it had already been done. I was kinda sad after that.


9. When you first joined...what forum did you post your first reply in?

Prince Music & More - the GD was intimidating because it was so clique-y.

I used to be a regular at the Nick @ Nite forum on AOL many years ago.

started at the Hammer chat...I remember Rude, Dex, toffee, jada, and others from there then moved to the holy river and the Org chat room.

I visited the 'old' black n purple org mainly for Prince
news and details.

If I knew that I wouldn't be here this often. Probably a
mix of being bored and wanting to have a laugh. There's
always something worth a few smiles on the org.

Can't really remember. I think it was Jesper, but I talked
to him before I even came to the org.

Natasha. She was the first woman that actually made me wet
my pants with a post about a transsexual roommate she took
for shopping or something like that.

Anji is still rather "new", yet he's contributed a lot of
cool threads. More sensible ones than me, that's for sure.

Those of orgers I know a bit better. After that, it's

My very first thread was on the blacknpurple org and it was
something to do with a fake tracklist for Rave. I think.

There was only 1 forum back then. Wasn't there?

I'm with U MinneapolisFunk...number of posts mean nada. I've been visiting since the ORG's inception/DAY1 and even more years with some of the crew before that. And that's alotta years. Dayum...maybe that's...SAD LOL!

I have the addiction under control now. Rarely rarely do I enter the chat anymore and I have limited my participation to maybe one forum. But I keep checkin in.

The ORG is as hard to quit as cigarettes.
