yesterday evening i heard Bowie sing bruce's It's hard to be a saint in the city. i've never heard the original but i suppose it's completely different than bowie's. Bruce came to the studio while bowie was recording it in 75/76 and couldn't believe his eyes. there was this drug crazed english ghost like figure turning his song into a soul song. i wish i could have been there to see his reaction. WHAT IF THERE IS NO TOMORROW? THERE WASN'T ONE TODAY! | |
