Marilyn Manson's 'Dope Hat' video features these evil little bastards lol
It begins with the words MARILYN MANSON written Willy-Wonka style, with a bubble-gum candy background and some fanciful music. Then we see the epitome of happy land, it's green and there's pretty flowers and shit like that, with a brown river right in the middle of it. There's lollipops and kittens, and at then end of the river, there's a big head with an opening and closing mouth that looks like a little kids bible book Jesus. There's a boat, and it goes into the chomping mouth...
It shows the band on the boat, set up and playing their instruments. Marilyn runs his tongue along a candy stick, and there are chickens and demented oompa-loompa's on the boat (not to mention several children who are about to get the shit scared out of them).
The video goes along for quite a while, Marilyn with a cane and black top hat, singing and scaring the kids. Images are appearing on the walls that are all fairly creepy, animals being cut apart, skeletons coming to life, fruit being cut open only to be found it's filled with little fish, maggots or worms...images weird enough to traumatize any 11 year old.
There's also a few scenes that show the Oompa-Loompa's singing along, like in Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory. Then, it changes a little, there's a scene of two Oompa Loompa's pouring chocolate syrup onto 2 almost naked women. Then Marilyn is seen sat naked with his legs wrapped around one of those plastic human body models where you put in all the organs, except Marilyn is pulling them out. My favorite part of the video is when Marilyn is licking the wall paper, (which is covered with pictures of men and women) and red letters float across the screen that say "the girls taste like girls, the boys taste like boys!" Then he grabs Twiggy and basically starts making out with him (it's so cool when you see it). The video ends with the boat leaving the tunnel (slowly, the film has been warped), and everyone looking fairly happy, smiling and throwing confetti and things.

This video is Marilyns version of Willy Wonka (not that I need to state the obvious)!

Tim Burton will make it good. I'm a little concerned about that crazy psychedelic scene though...

I'm quite impressionable. boxed

My friend threw a rave once called Willy Wonkas Chocolate Factory. He promoted it with plenty of flyers but also went to a chocolate maker and had special candy bars with the name of his production co. and the name of the party engraved on the bars... he made thousands to pass out and in 5 of them he placed the secret golden tickets which were freebies to get in for the lucky people that recieved them... the rave had tons of looped video of the oompa loompas etc. etc. I had a blast and it's nice to hear that Tim Burton (perfect director for this project) will be in charge just thought I'd share...

What I thought was interesting was how Willy Wonka said that he 'saved' the Oompa Loompas from their terrible land that was just so awful, etc etc etc...

Sound familiar?

Is he REALLY? Oh, that is so cool. That is one of my very favorite movies, and I would normally be unhappy to have anybody mess with it, but Burton. . .that should be fucking GREAT.

I have never seen this movie.
Last month, someone in my office was making a reference to the "oompa loompas" which I just didn't get.
Until now that is.

Thanks. smile

Fuck that shit... no matter how good Tim Burton is / once was why on earth bother remaking a perfectly good movie? Why? It doesn't need remaking! Leave it alone!

Sorry but anyone other than Gene Wilder as Mr. Wonka just won't work.

Americans - stop remaking movies! Stop it! Make new movies instead! Look at what you did with "Get Carter" for goodness' sake!

That's it, I've said my piece.

That whole movie was scary!
But it rocked!
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I Know that I am going to get crucified for saying this, but I think that Michael Jackson would make the perfect Willie Wonka. He looks and acts eerie, he can sing and dance, and they could film the movie at his house. This role is taylor made for him. It's probably the only role that he could ever play in a movie without wearing a mask.
