When you are busy do you use "a,s,d,f,j,k,l,;" as they taught you in a typing class or do you type the other way?

I would make my typing class teacher proud - I keep my fingers on the home keys and my eyes on the screen, and I type nearly 90wpm (former legal word processor, don'tcha know).

I failed typing in highschool

I type better now but i'm still sorta slow, I have 2 look

I never took a typing class, though I really wish I had. I have no idea what fingers I'm supposed to be using on which keys, but I do use all of my fingers when I type and I only have to look at the keys when I realize I'm not looking. I can be typing away forever without paying attention, but if I think about the fact that I'm not looking at the keys, I have to look, or I mess it all up.

I've been attending this evening class the past 6 months
and a part of it was we all have to do the 10-finger type
course.

I already type with a sort-of 10 finger style. Just some
thing I taught myself through the years since my fingers
would feel as if they were broken after a day's worth of
that official "asdjkl;" shit.

They tried to force me to take the course again because
I didn't type with 10 fingers according to their rules.

So I said "fuck it, I'll take any one of you on". And so
they tested me and I had an average of 372 hits p/m

Fuckers said they hadn't seen anything like it and didn't
know what to say, except "ok, you're excused now" .

I type with 3 mingers. the other 2 are always busy doing something else
