It is not. Have been interested in English language from the moment I had it at school. I am mostly self-thaught. But it was easy. Reading lots of English and American magazines helps. BBC subtitling (they subtitle most programs for deaf people) helps the spelling. Dutch television does not dub anything, so the sound of the English language is easy to pick up etc. And I served in the airforce. Being stationed at an US airbase helps. And most of my 'slang' I picked up cuz I am a Prince fan. Imagine a 13 year old guy going up to his English teacher; "What is the meaning of creamy vice?" | |
