My New Totem; The Polar Bear.

I had this awsome dream about polar bears last night.

It left me calmed and relaxed and I am still in it's joyful afterglow.

Polar bears are my new totem.

Last night I had a dream that I had some very drunken, random sex without a condom.

Condoms are my new totem.
I mean, like, where is the sun?

My dream was somehow more TOTEM than yours.

Totem dreams differ from blurry other dreams, the ones you can hardly remember.

In Pamela's case it was no totem dream, as obviously she did not have a wet dream (she would have said so)

Okay. Totem Dreams. They differ from other dreams because they are clear, reality -like. Not the fuzzy things you are left with most times; like "Uhm, something to do with polar bears, but can't remember how."
No, Totem Dreams are dreams that come to you at certain moments in your life, often at crossroads, when you are in need of an answer or a direction. Or just a sign or a wake up.

I have been in turmoil for over a year and made the big decision to return to Amsterdam a month ago. It felt good and now I got that mirrorred.

The dream involvedRichard, my first (deceased) boyfriend lead to through alot of big rooms and we were being traced by some friendly polar bears.
But Richard politely closed the doors on the polar bears, saying; "No, not these ones."

The last room contained another, seemingly very nervous polar bear and I knew this one was friendly too. I told Richard that this was the right polar bear, after which I closed Richard out (which is something of a departure too, taking into account other dreams).
Then I pet the polar bear and he rest his head on my shoulder. We lay down for a little catsleep and then the polar bear transforms into a man I have never seen before.

We then fall asleep in the dream. Very happily.

I can still recall every detail of the polarbears, of Richard and what he wore, and about the polar bear in the end and the man he transformed into. It went straight into my dream diary this morning.

Hm. My totem dreams of times when I was really young are these:

One about a puppet theatre in a woodworker's shed, another one about elephants between the willows in the backyard, and one about my mother falling in the plesiosaur pool at the zoo. I was 10 yrs or younger.

My more recent totem dreams tend to be about my mother who died after years of progressive illness 9 years ago. In the end, she couldn't walk anymore. But in my dreams she got better and better again until she was dancing like she once did and the last time I dreamt of her, she wore a straight, extremely bright blueish white dress, without one single fold! (it wasn't really beautiful actually, but extremely symbolic, of course).

And I often have very vivid dreams about myself setting things straight with people I have a problem with.

I have very merciful dreams, you might say.

That's beautiful. Kinda reminds me of writings by the Belgian called Hubert Lampo.

Aw, thank you, y'all! The first thing I did this morning was google for polar bear pics!
I feel really happy and positive. Lots of good things are happening and I have met alot of nice new people, also here on The Org and that puts me in the right mind frame!
You are all sweet!

Here Matt, please be advised that this is an awsome site, adn like any other thing in life; it has a downside.

But there is some positivity here. And I experience it almost every day! It makes my working day less boring.

And today you all make me a happy hamster

Nice, Gooey! Your dream speaks of transition, closure, the instillation of hope and peace, in my humble opinion! smile
