Hi, it's Matt here. I'm just speaking for myself in this post, and whatever I say does not necessarily reflect the official views of prince.org. Glad we got that out of the way.

Apparently something big has blown up over the last few days, when I was mostly away from the .org. I'm getting details here and there, but I still don't have the big picture. I suppose that's because. in general, I try to stay out of the "drama," unless it becomes something where a moderator has to step in.

It's sad to see many of our long-time .orgers announcing their intentions to leave the site. And while I think (and hope) that most, if not all, will eventually return, it's just... discouraging.

This may come as a surprise to some of you, especially after some of the stuff I've posted here (e.g., my nipple piercing photos), but in some ways, I can be a very private person. A few of you whom I've confided in know that I'm currently dealing with some difficult issues. Now, I know that my problems aren't anyone else's problems, and I'm not asking for anyone's sympathy, but when I add this current... situation... here on the .org to those, it makes me sad.

Am I taking this site too seriously? Maybe so... I've certainly made that mistake in the past. But I've been here for almost eight years (if you count the PPML era), and it just hurts to see this stuff in a community that I love.

They say time heals all wounds... I hope that is the case here.

Maybe this wasn't very eloquent, but it's how I feel.

i know how ya feel, matt. i've been here on the org since its beginnin and i've never seen such a mass exodus like this. sad day, indeed.

I'm extremely private...and I, too, am going thru some rather intense transitions in my life...only Julie/Freespirit knows of everything I'm dealing with, and I'm thankful to God for her presence in my life......but as I'm sure you have experienced, it really does put things like social dramas on a web site into it's proper perspective...and you truly do find yourself just not bothering to keep up with the daily soap opera around here. What I can say is that I'm taking action to deal with them. I'm not going to just sit in the corner and cry. A lot is going to change over the next year or so... and while it's kind of scary, because I don't know exactly what the future holds, it's also exciting in a strange way.

My close friends are telling me that I'm going to bounce back strong. And while that sometimes seems hard to believe, I know I've done it before, and I think I can do it again if I put my mind to it.

Oh, and btw, best of luck with everything you're dealing with in your life...

I have no idea what you are currently experiencing in your life Matt; but I do know that you are a very intelligent man from what I have seen you post over the two years that I have been off and on the org. I wish you well in everything you are dealing with and don't worry about the org; the negativity comes and goes in cycles here. Pretty soon it will get back to "normal",whatever that is.


I've been depressed,discouraged,disrepsected,as well as loved here. Lately it's been the former but I always think it has to get better. We love the site Matt' it's fun and entertaining. Sometimes people use poor judgement and other times people seek attention in an inappropriate manner.
