I just logged in and am blown away by it all... but I think it needs to happen... and for all of you saying get over it and let it go, that's so fucking idealistic of ya'll... It won't happen ANY sooner by saying that. I hate to break it to you. Dansa, you know I love you, but I feel that threads and comments like this are only adding fuel to the fire. As one of the orgers possibly headed for the door I will say why: I feel like when all the racial threads popped up, people showed their true colors: black and white. If I didn't come out on the side of black people, I got criticized for basically denying my black roots. I feel like a lot of shit was said on both sides that was uncalled for. People on the org that I know personally, who happen to be white, were called racist because they had a problem with the lyrics that were posted on Prince's website. I had problems with them, so what does that make me? Maybe this will all die down and we can go back to what it was like when we didn't know what color anybody is. | |
