i can't help but curse...fuck is the best word in the english language...
it just doesn't have the same effect to tell someone to 'go intercourse yourself'...no power...no shock...hell they'd laugh at you!!  you're only as old as you feel..............so how old do i feel

Quite right, the most often used word, and one of the English language's best multi-purpose words 2. Over time, It's origins have become somewhat cloudy, but many people seem 2 agree that it comes from one of the following 2 sources (I personally go with the latter description,) However, the first record the first time it was found in print was in 1278 AD---a guy's last name--John le Fucker. Most etymologists agree that it is of Germanic origin. 1) "For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge" This is the phrase that Medieval English baliffs used when booking the local daughters of commercial joy. And the trouble started, not when they got tired of writing the whole thing out, but rather when, with really excessive sloth, they left out the periods after the initals as well, thus coining the twentieth century's favorite word. 2) "Fornication Under Consent of King" In England, during the reign of George II, there appeared signs over state sanctioned brothels which read Fornication Under Consent of King. It's a noun, as in clusterfuck: That is, a huge mess which is or seems beyond all repair or at least explanation. More often in usage as a noun, people can be described as "you stupid fuck". It's also a verb and this is indeed its most common and favorite usage within the shared human experience. An adjective, "you fucking stupid fuck"![/b] Now, wasn't this the greatest grammar lesson? This hasn't been much of a post, it's not like this is useful information or anything. What seems 2 be useful information these days is the price of a pack of cigarettes or a loaf of bread. 
There are variations of the word with similar meanings. A rich history of when and why it became taboo as well as how it was used and by whom can be interesting for some. So if you really want to know, simply leave your computer, go to a local bookstore or university library, and check it out for yourself. You could even call an expert professor and talk to a live human being. Good luck, brave, new adventurer to the outside world.
