SEA-SICK!

the last few days i have been just outside Whyalla, which is about 400km from Adelaide...on a fishing/drinking/talking bullshit 2 eachother trip.

i hadnt been out on a boat b4... so we went out at night on tuesday.
.
for the 1st 20mins or so,it was just beautiful.
the stars out & shining & in the middle of nowhere...

& thne i started feeling ill.
then very ill.
then like death warmed up!

i held it for awhile...thinking i could resist the urge...
& then when we made our next stop to a school of snapper...

i HURLED!

for like 5-10minutes i am leaning over the side of the boat & throwing up EVERYTHING!
i think i even lost a lung!

i was nearly choking it felt horrible... infact i was scared i would choke & pass out.

dad caught the biggest fish yet... but he was really worried about me & also he said later that he didnt feel well...
so he asked the guy who owns the boat if we could turn around & go back 2 the shack & he was a really great guy & was cool with it.
everyone else got off the boat also, since one or 2 of us had 2 go they thought it would only b right if they got off also & didnt leave us out feeling sick & sorry...

& the second i stepped on2 the shore i felt better,...& after 20mins or so i was fine & enjoyed another Coopers PaleAle.
i took a sea-sick tablet but that didnt help at all previous 2 going out.
i have been ill on my 1st plane trip where my head felt like it was going 2 xplode!...
so it didnt surprise me.

but anyhoo...besides that hour or so of xtreme torture...
it was an excellent trip!

everyone drinkin & talkin bullshit & hurling insults at eachother... it was a bloody great trip!
(i just wish Shep would have stopped farting the whole time... i think thats what made me ill,not the boat!)
whofarted

lol

ok,now u can tell your horror boat/sea-sick stories just so i dont feel as bad.

peace
love,
Joshy
smile

Pussy!

Ah I'm just kidding. It's very easy to get sea sick while fishing, the boat moves around a lot. I pretty much grew up boating in the summer with my dad but if I take a ferry to meet him somewhere I have to sit up top outside or I'll get sick. It happens to the best of us Joshy! Next time just go get some motion sickness pills, they really work.

Being sea-sick is th ewporse feeling.

You have to take dramammine(pills) 12 hours BEFORE you get on a boat for it to work

otherwise just stare at the horizon to keep your eardrum and..oh nevermind.

I was in the military for 4 years and I never got sea-sick. And I was on a FFG one of the smaller ships. As the person above stated, there are things you can do to prevent it, but it long and doesn't work for everyone.

I took some pills for sea-sickness before we entered the
boat. However, there was delay upon delay before we could
board the damn thing, so I ended up taking about 10 times
as many pills as I was allowed.

Then we bought a bottle of tequilla and had a private sort
of party on deck in a rather bad storm. My friend got very
sick and puked his guts out whilst I stood on deck with
waves crashing in on us from every angle, doing my best
surfer impression, singing 90's poptunes.

There was only 1 other passenger on deck at that time since
everyone was too scared and had been warned to stay inside.

For some reason [could it be the pills and booze?] I thought
this woman was the queen of England and asked her to take
my "Painting" as I handed her my camera.

Nope. I never have to puke after taking large quantities of
booze. I usually have to MAKE myself puke by sticking...
well you know.
