Hi everyone. It ain't often I get serious in this place, but I've been doing a bit of thinking recently and I'd like some advice if it's ok with you.

I feel this thread belongs in general discussion because the subject matter is me, although it does invole religieon and NPGMC (but they only slightly cross over into this thread)

The feuding (if I can call it that) between the org and NPGMC has been making me think about me as a person. I'm a catholic, always have been and always will be, and I considered myself to be a good one at that. However, when I go to post on NPGMC I feel really intimadated. The threads are extremely long (and I'm not a vry good reader) and everyone seems to have such stroung views on subjects I can't begin to understand.

I don't know the bible inside out, I don't know the difference between a catholic and a jehovas witness. I know about Prince music, and sex, and porn, and films, and pop music, and dancing, and drinking. I also know love, and friendship, and looking out 4 1another. But is that enough. Should I be an NPGMC person to be a good person. Because I don't have their knowledge am I actually a bed person and never knew it?

Should I commit my life to what seems to me like a cult. When I joined all I wanted was music, is that something that makes me bad? Should I be learning to be like them because they are far more inteligent than me and therefore should know better, or have I been fooled by them and should I be living my life the way I know?

The NPGMC can fuck right off.

That's my advice.

Camille, there are all kinds of intelligence in this world. Be cool with who you are. What follows should all be about what interests you.

If you joined for the music, that's cool cause that's what YOU want to do. Don't try to be with the "in crowd". If you find a subject that interests you, post, if you don't, don't post. I've found that my favorite rooms are the Reflection & VS rooms. Don't let all the words confuse you. Listen to yourself first. If what you hear is similar to those posting make a comment. Otherwise just enjoy the site at your leisure and at your own pace.

the npgmc is cool... it's just a different kind of cool, not necessarily mine...

i go into the chatroom from time to time and have some fun, but i stay away from the forums...

here, i stay in the forums and never go near the chatroom...

i don't like the org's chat and i don't like the npgmc's forums...

you gotta pick and choose what you like and dislike...

but don't feel bad just because you don't share the same views and opinions that people over there do, or because you don't obsess over the same things they do... it takes all kinds to make the world go around...

Don't worry about those on the damn NPGMC.you're always going to get a more diverse range of opinions on the Org than on there anyway.

yup... the set-up of it is extremely nice, or so i think... i'm not a chat-room expert, so i don't have a lot to compare it to... but i did like it a lot, and i found it very easy to use... it runs very quickly, and it does the auto refresh... where the chat keeps scrolling on your screen, even if you're not posting... which kicks the hell out of the chat here...

how much you have in there will depend on how many people you or your willingness to learn new people...

it will also depend on how straight-laced and tight-assed the people are over there...

the chat isn't very confusing... and if it is, you should catch on really quickly...
