Word-of-Mouth.Info is an online meeting place where users from around the world can perform background research on individuals and businesses using the powerful information source known as "word-of-mouth". A user that has had experience with or has opinions regarding an individual or business will submit an "Identification Report" whose purpose is only to identify the individual or business in question. Other users are then immediately able to search through and review these "Identification Reports." When an
interesting report (typically regarding an individual or business that the user knows) is found by a user, he/she may then begin to communicate with the report author through our Anonymous Email System to learn the experiences and opinions of the report author regarding the report subject.

*Important! - Word-of-Mouth.Info "Identification Reports" are only for the purpose of identifying the report subject. They do not contain information additional to that which is viewable at no charge by any and all users. "Identification Reports" do not contain fields into which report authors can possibly enter any information aside from that which is for the purpose of identification. "Identification Reports" do not contain and cannot possibly contain any potentially defamatory information and "Identification Reports" are not to be construed as positive or negative.

If you decide to contact the report author through our Anonymous Email System, do so by using the links that clearly appear in each report.

If you get such an email in your inbox DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT sign up for it!! I made the dreadful mistake of signing up for this service (at $19.97 per year) ONLY because I am currently unemployed and I wanted to be sure that the person who supposedly wrote this so called "report" was not saying any negative or nasty things about me, since I know that employment agencies and possible employers use many different tools to research a person's background before they are hired. I usually don't pay much attention to emails of this sort, but delete them. But I have to admit that my curiosity was aroused when I received this email.

Unfortunately, I sent an email back to this so called "Word-of-Mouth" website, asking them to please have the person who wrote this so called report send it to me so that I could read it. This "Word-of-Mouth" website claims that the email address of the person who wrote the report as well as mine is anonymous, so the two people don't know who wrote the report and who is asking to see it.

I am now fighting with this website, sending them nasty emails demanding my money back, since almost four days has passed and I still have not received my "report" that I paid for as part of my membership.

This website is a SCAM y'all, and I am urging you NOT to join it! I think they send out that phony email to people to make the receiver of the email think that there is some public information for them out there that they just HAVE to read (like I did). They use this claim as a bait to rip people off, which is precisely what I told them in my email. Don't be foolish like I was, DELETE this silly email right away, and DON'T pay attention to it. I wish I had, it would have saved me the headaches that I'm going through right now.

If I don't get my money back, I'm reporting this phony company to the BBB AND the police. I hope not to have to do that, but if I don't get satisfactory results, I will have to. Another good reason to delete and not open emails from people you don't know.
