Tell me about the worst tattoos you have ever seen. I was at my parents tattoo/piercing shop today and this fat guy was having the words "Fat 4 Life" tattood on his arm in large print. He was very fat so the tattoo seemed repetitive.
My question is when did this become something to be proud of? I personally thought it was one of the stupidist things I have ever seen and not just because he used the Prince ebonics Another time this girl was getting something tattood on her stomach in Latin so I asked her what it meant and she said that she didn't know. She had seen it someplace and thought it looked cool so she copied it down and was having it tattood on her hipline. I never looked it up but I couldn't believe that someone would be stupid enough to tattoo something on their body that they didn't know what it meant as tattoos are forever. I think it probably meant "I am a stupid bitch"

lol... I've seen some pretty horrible ones on people. Can't think of what they were exactly... the worst are the "home-made" ones.
I'm getting work done to mine again in a few months... it's a little too high.

I will take a picture and show you... as far as making it where it should be, or where I would like it, rather... I am getting stuff added on to the bottom of it. Somehow.

oh m'gawd, i gotta story 4 ya'll:
about 3 years ago, i got my very first (top pic) tattoo. i wuz ridin back 2 my sister's house on the city bus from the tattoo parlor and there wuz this guy with all these tats coverin his arms. he noticed my new tat and said sumfin like, "nice tattoo, where'd u get it?" i told him the name of the place where i got it...then he asked me how much i paid 2 get it done. told 'im it costed about $95 bux. dude sorta chuckled and said, "man, i coulda done that 4 u and i'd only charge u $50 bux 4 it! i do tattoos and i did all of these [on his arms] myself!" here's the thing: the dude's tats were fuckin horrendous. they looked like shit a kindergartener woulda drawn. i remember he had like these panther-crawlin-down-arm tats on each of his arms...least i thought they were panthers, they were sumfin. on top of that the shit looked scarred and the lines were blurry, so ol' dude wuz heavy-handed as well. i wuz just sittin there like, "naaah, i'm cool..." let this shit be a lesson 2 those of u who are thinkin about gettin tats done in the future: go with the professionals!!! it costs more but your tats will look a helluva lot better in the long run. stay away from the bastids who run tat shops outta their living rooms n'stuff...thankyouthankyou. needle gun edit [This message was edited Wed May 21 17:46:03 PDT 2003 by Handclapsfingasnapz]

I just mentioned to Sweeny79 in a different thread that bargain shopping is not wise when tattoo shopping.

Ex-Moderator | Hey now! My tattoo was a bargain done outta a friend of a friend's bedroom. It cost me $25 and an order of sweet and sour chicken. (We all went out to eat the night before and he was low on cash, so I bought him dinner as part of payment.) And my tattoo is gorgeous! But I will say, he'd been doing it sorta freelance for 2 years and I'd seen the work he'd done, so I trusted him. He was an amazing artist and I'd admired his drawings for a long time.
But these days, I'd go to a professional. No question. In fact these days I'd be even pickier. I'd have to see lots of work they'd done, talk to people they'd worked on, all that. |

I agree, also any superhero related tats are pretty bad 2. I think that they should be something personal not pre- fab. When tats are something non-personal they suck. I mean I love Pooh bear but I wouldn't have a tatto of him. Just my In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |
