I've had this happen but only because my tastes have changed. There are two girls in high school and a couple of girls in college who I didn't date because although they were cute they were kind of geeky and these days I'm pretty much into geeky and feel as if I missed out.

In my senior year of high school, one of my "two-week girlfriends" (anybody else have those in high school? in college? In adulthood???), after our breakup, proceeded to stalk me, befriend every subesequent girl I dated/was interested in for the rest of that year. She also would call my parents' house and hang up.

She was a huge Prince fan (obsessed, actually) and was projecting thoughts of him on me because I played guitar and have the same silly mole/beauty mark on the left side of my face.

Because of her looks, a lot of guys didn't understand why I'd stopped talking to her. They said they wished they could be in my shoes. She was creepy. They didn't get that.
