I try. Slip ups usually occur about two to three times per year. It's all about who you hang out with. If I am around certain people, I get into trouble. [This message was edited Tue May 20 7:59:56 PDT 2003 by minneapolisgenius] i slip up just about as often... with me, though, it generally depends a lot more on who i'm not hanging out with... i've always been a very anti-social drinker... so, if the wife is out of town, and i don't feel like seeking out people to keep me occupied, i will drink myself into an oblivion... ... I am the opposite. Although, I will drink alone, but never over the top. have you ever heard that george thorogood song, "i drink alone"... that was me... i will barracade myself and just drink until i can't drink anymore... that said, i don't always drink anti-socially... it's just been better that way... i'm sometimes not the most pleasant person to be around when i've been drinking... No, I've never done that, but alcohol was always the least of my problems. I always got carried away with other things. Now alcohol (for me anyway) is just the lesser of two (or three or four) evils. ouch... i imagine that things are a lot harder for you than for me... i only had the once vice... hang in there, though... i got faith in ya... I'm doing pretty good. I know I'll never go back to where I was before I met my husband though. He's the one who rescued me from all of that actually. But...I still do have slip-ups from time to time. And of course I still feel guilty afterward. same here as far as the rescuing... except, it was my wife and not your husband...... you're about the aftermath guilt, though... it is a bitch... I was gonna say! MY husband rescued YOU too?! "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven | |

Do you two not get on then ? . no... we get it on plenty... Saw that one coming a mile away... ... great minds think alike... which makes it kinda hard to explain what just happened... ...... Yes because we ALL know who is the "great mind" out of the two of us. which is why i find it odd that you (of all people) knew what i was thinking... ... maybe there was a glitch somewhere, or you just got lucky... i just don't want you walking around with a false sense of intelligence, really... Yeah a glitch in your matrix. No false sense here. Just look at my name for Christ's sake! And we know your brain must be totally fried with a name like LSD. nope... ellis is drug free... and has always been so... ... ... Lucky you. Can't say the same for myself. In fact, it's laughable ... that's not to say that i haven't had other addictions just as bad... i struggled with booze for quite some time... are you saying that you are currently hooked, or have been in the past? [This message was edited Tue May 20 7:53:23 PDT 2003 by EllisDee] I remember you talking about your alcohol problem and I can relate. Other addictions, mostly in the past, too few to name, and I slip up from time to time. ... i hate to hear that... you're a strong person, though... ... as for the slipping up, though... we all do... ya just try to keep 'em few and far between... I try. Slip ups usually occur about two to three times per year. It's all about who you hang out with. If I am around certain people, I get into trouble.
