Really. . .I can't figure out why anybody would have a problem with that pic. . .was it mainly that she didn't like you looking at a pic of half naked chicks?

Basically, her first comment was, "I don't want to see two lesbos getting it on." When I pointed out how that comment was homophobic, she responded that she found the picture "offensive."

After I asked her whether she would object if the picture showed a man and a woman, she changed her tune, denied being homophobic, and said something to the effect of, "That's a private moment that shouldn't be public. I don't want to look at it, even if it were a guy and a girl." I pointed out that the women in the photo almost certainly knew their "private" moment was going to be made public.

She then asked me how I would feel if she bought a picture of two men kissing. I said that would be fine--although I'm straight, I don't see anything wrong with such a photo.

She also claimed that the photo is "porn." When I asked her why, she said something like, "That could be the opening picture in a girl-girl pictorial. The next photo would have them topless, then they'd be naked, then one would be going down on the other, etc." I replied that I found this argument ridiculous--all sorts of photos that are not themselves pornographic could be used to start a "porn" pictorial, and moreover, there are no pictures beyond that kiss. (Or if there are, that website isn't selling them.) That's the end.

I think this is an argument I cannot win.
