Men, have you ever used the womens restroom? I've been in a few scenarios where I had to use the women's restroom at various places. And a few times, I got some major heat for it.
1.) At a local bar I would go to, the mens bathroom literally had caved in, so guys had no choice to use the womens restroom. It was a gay bar with predominantly male patrons so I didn't think this would be a problem. Some woman read me for filth for being in there though. 2.) At another gay bar in Columbus Ohio (The Garage) I was there for New Years and the line to the mens bathroom went on for eternity. However there was no line for the womens bathroom, so my freind Jenna went in and made sure the coast was clear and I slipped into there with no problem and took a leak. I got funny looks when I came out tho. 3.) Where I work at is in a bad neighborhood, and we always get bums walking in pretending to be customers, then they head for our bathrooms. The one time this guy came in and went directly to the mens bathroom. I could hear him at my desk saying out loud "UH OH! UH OH!" then he promptly walked out and left. Sure enough when I walked in there he totally missed the toilet. So for weeks I refused to use the mens bathroom, I always used the womens. Theres only two women where I work and the rest are men, so I didnt think this would be a problem. In fact some of the other guys were doin it too. But customers would give us funny looks when we walked out. The thing is, many of us share our bathrooms at home with both sexes, especially when visitors come over. So what is the big deal about seperate bathrooms in public? Other than the fact that womens bathrooms in most places tend to be 10x nicer than the mens room.

Because men and women would be in there at the same time, whereas, at home, generally a bunch of men and women aren't using it at the same time. If the latter happens at your home... I have SO many questions!

at the gay bar I most frequently go to, I've used the women's restroom many times...I try to be nice though, and lift the seat and many times I've gone in and another guy was already in their, going all over the seat, so I've 'convinced' them to clean up after themselves...

I have SO many questions! and, we (typically) know the people using the bathroom in our home, we don't know that in public. My guess is many women (rightfully) would feel uncomfortable and unsafe about using unisex bathrooms in public... a number of the hipper places in Mpls have been going for the seperate toilet area but shared lounge/sink area lately...I think that's fun ...safety edit.... To be honest...they are usually way past untidy. I just hold my breath, do my business and come out. I like to see the looks on the guys' faces too when they see me exit. So...how's everybody doing?

Thanks to the old Love4OneAnother site we all know that Prince uses the womens bathroom.
As for me I have never done it although I have accidentally walked into the ladies room a couple of times and had to face my embarrasment when I saw women and realized that I had made a boo-boo.

I have!
Once I was in one of those situations where I had to go bad!. I ran into a Carl's Jr (Hardees to you east coasters) and someone was in the men's restroom so I carefully opened up the woman's restroom door and peeked below the stalls and saw that noone was in there. So I drop trow and let loose. Just then the door opens and I am horrified as the stall next to me becomes occupied. I'm sitting there trying to be quiet and just waiting for this woman to get done. Then... I hear "Hey, can you pass me some toilet paper" Oh shit! I grabbed a giant wad of paper and stuck my hand underneath the stall wall and as soon as she started to grab the toilet paper, I let go and snatched my hand back up so she wouldn't see a man's hand!! Needless to say, I didn't get caught but it was a close call! 2010: Healing the Wounds of the Past.... http://prince.org/msg/8/325740

Me, being a tidy homosexual, think I have the privilege to use women's bathrooms whenever I want to.
They are cleaner, even they the visitors tend to be rather bitchy.

I've used the men's restroom on a number of occasions, especially during my partying at the club days. Men are so lucky, if it gets really bad, they can just go outside and piss up against a tree or something. For women, the options are more limited. I'd rather do the men's room than the tree anyday!
