I Just Built A Fence! (Now With Exciting Photos!!! Thanks To AzureStar) It was weird. I'm not at all a construction-type guy. I've never held a job in the "manual labor" type classifications... yet, my buddies and I just built a fucking redwood fence with metal posts and a cinder block wall.
It looks fucking great! Originally, I called around to get someone to do it for me (which is the norm). NO FUCKING CONTRACTORS WOULD COME OUT TO THE HOUSE! I live in an upscale neighborhood and the one that did come out, way over quoted me!!! ($26.00 a foot!) I laughed my ass off while telling him politely where to go. Anyway... after running some numbers, checking out the local "do-it-yourself" stores, I saved well over a thousand dollars just doin' it myself! It looks great! Beautiful. I am so proud... I just had to tell my .org family.

I went to a friends a week or so ago and helped him remove this horrible wall paper from his upstairs rooms and it was awful... but afterwards it felt great! I love working on things like that. But, this stuff was stuck on there with super glue or something... it didn't want to come off and we had to go and buy a steamer. Ugh... now, next week we're talking his basment... so that when his fiance moves in the house is ready! She's gonna love it!!
