The Hulk Movie

I think it's gonna suck. Too much computer animation and it doesn't even look good. Hopefully they can give him a good adversary and salvage something out of the movie.

It's easier and cheaper to go CGI. Actors are going the way of the dinosaur.

I have no problems with the CGI per se, it's just that I think they could have done a better job with the character design. I just read an interview where Lou Ferrigno said he thought the new Hulk "looked cute" when he saw it at a prescreening. That should have been a red flag for someone on the movie set right there.

Agreed. nod About the only thing scary looking in this movie is Nick Nolte. Have anyone SEEN this crazy motherf*cka lately? disbelief

The director of the movie, Ang Lee, went over to Nick's house to discuss the movie right?. So Nick Nolte comes down in a bathrobe and the first thing he asks the Director (not even a hello mind you) is if he can get a sample of Ang Lee's blood. Ang doesn't know what to say so he says yes. Next, they go upstairs to a room where Nick Nolte keeps all this hi tech blood analyzing equipment, draws some of Ang Lee's blood, and then displays the image of the blood on a computer screen. Needless to say, Ang was disturbed by the whole thing.
This dude is nuts err lol

Naw, he is crazy. I know eccentric is the word for a rich crazy person, but he is beyond that. They don't make enough money for his level.

Actually yes he did. He said he "made it himself". feeling ill I think Ang turned him down on the offer. Just to be safe.

have you seen the design? It looks like the comic... not exactly cute... but accurate to the source material.

Yes I saw the preview as well as stills from the movie. To be more specific, it's the movements of the Hulk onscreen coupled with the CGI that bother me a bit. The Hulk just seems to be out of sync with the other actors in the shots I've seen. It seems that the actors are acting at a CGI and not with it. I know the movie sucked but Episode II was a good example of how acting with a CGI (ex. Yoda) should be done.

I saw the trailer. It does look like it's gonna suck. The animation they used does not look good with the live actors. They should have tried to use the animation technique that was used in Final Fantasy, which was really life like. The Hulk looks 5 times the size of the live actors. It looks cheesy and cartooney.

As far as using an actor to play the Hulk, I bet they could have gotten some professional wrestler who's already jacked up on steriods real cheap. Paint the mofo green and there you go. lol

I used to love this show as a kid... I hear you on the too much computer animation but if they make the animation realistic enough I might like it... it would have been interesting if they did it like it was with Lou Ferigno and all stunts..more realistic!!! Here's my question is the Hulk in this movie ana ctual person or is it all animated when he becomes the hulk???

I wish it had that one bad guy with the pencil moustache and the big green forehead. He's kinda hot. But he reminds me of that other villain of Green Lantern's with the pencil moustache and the big purple forehead.

I think that they went the way of CGI for the Hulk because if you read the comics...he was supposed to be an enormous creature. There aren't any bodybuilders/strongmen out there that could REALLY fit the bill.

However...I agree that they should've taken greater care in developing the imgae...he looks too much like Shrek.
