I thought he was great in the Crouching Tiger movie, but I didn't much care for Bulletproof Monk.

My dad was warning our family about partially-hydrogenated fats 30 years ago.

Well, he wouldn't allow anything with hydrogenated fats -- that is most prepared foods, margarine, etc -- were TABOO in our house.
And, I'm so glad that he was so smart and figured this all out smile we're much healthier for it.

No spreads, only freshly ground peanut butter from the health food store with a bit of safflower oil in it to make it spread more easily.
We'd eat home popped popcorn, shredded wheat with bits of cheese and grapes, other fruit and veggies...stuff like that.
He was very wise and loving. smile I miss him very much.

you are a lucky gal to have a pop like that.

mine wasn't so concerned about what we ate.

i do however remember finding my father's crack pipe once and him telling me it wasn't a good idea to handle it.

i guess he was loving in his own way.

anyway, the usda is soon going to make labels carry the amount of trans fat in foods so now i can make a more
intelligent choice in food consumption

any suggestions?

Well, the more simple the better. The closer food is to its natural state the better it is for you.
I wouldn't cut fat out of your diet completely, just choose better fats -- olive oils, canola oil, those kinds of things.
A great dietitan that my dad loved is Adele Davis. She has written all sorts of books on healty eating. Also, believe it or not, Dr. Adkins had the right idea on this topic.
