Anybody? what is your fixation with americans? I'm addressing to the majority here. How can anyone support death penalty and then get shocked because in Nigeria they're killing a woman they found guilty? who said all americans support the death penalty? what does that have to do with americans? what is your fixation with always having a negative comment about americanns?

This woman definitely doesn't deserve to be stoned, but there are a lot of convicted murderers and rapists in this country who do. "You need people like me so you can point your fuckin' fingers and say, "That's the bad guy." "

well then that kinda sheds a light on where their heads are at in a way.
i think it's pretty amazing that in this day and age that stoning and female circumsion still exists. but maybe that's only because i've never lived in a foreign country like theirs before. i guess it's really not that different from us killing through lethal injection or the electric chair can't make the lesser of any of those evils. it's a touchy situation though when it gets personal. if someone raped my mother i'd want them stoned to death. but i can't see that because the woman was unfaithful she should suffer like that.

Women around the world must take a stand against this male dominated bullshit. Until women are free from the bondage of male domination we shall continue to suffer these types of double standards.
Also, religion needs to be banned throughout the world. It's caused more suffering than good. Religion is truely the work of a demonic spirit. But this is only MY opinion. I knew some contries still had it but I didn't know the US was one of them. I was in shock. I hope one day it will be stopped by all (regardeless if some criminals deserve it. It just ain't right)
[in my view] It may be worth pointing out that while the majority of the USA has the death penalty, there are still 12 states that do not: Alaska, Hawaii, Iowa, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, North Dakota, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia and Wisconsin. ----------------------------------------------------------------------

CarrieLee said: Pandurito not all Americans do believe in the death penalty. I don't hear of too many death penalty cases anymore, I think it's tougher for someone to get the death penalty now.
But stoning someone to death? I think that's more on the lines of torture. I'd rather die by lethal injection and the electric chair than to be stoned to death. Amen to that! Torture is not the same as a quick, merciful death.

Men come out in the clear so much of the time... I dont't think this makes religion, as a whole, a sham. It just means that people use their ideologies to further their own agenda. If there was no religion, people would still come up with some BS to justify their actions. Religions don't cause people to do horrible things, any more than Music, movies, TV, video games, etc do. Folks just want to have a scapegoat.
