Curiosity killed the cat...........

Last night I was talking to one of my friends on the phone and we where talking about how it seems like they’re so many gay people now. My friend is a little bit older then I am and she said this type of stuff has always been going on, it’s just that more and more people are getting more comfortable to come out and talk about it. Then we went deeper into the conversation and she was talking about how a lot of straight guys go to gay clubs or whatever just to get a hook up on a blow job just because they’re girlfriends wouldn’t do it at home, I was shocked when I heard this and it’s been on my mind every since. But I gotta admit how it I have been noticing how a lot of supposedly straight guys have been into dick just as much as I have and it’s not even about having emotional relationship or anything, it’s mainly about you know, just for the sex of it….. So I said next

time I talk to a guy I’m going to ask him this just to see what he say and if he kicks my ass then I guess I will have my answer lol

Lisa your threads about gay people and your perception of them amaze me sometimes...rolleyes Broaden up your horizons a bit. Human sexuality is a fluid concept. Most people don't 100% fit into the available labels (gay straight bisexual ect.) A man may have an experience w/ another man yes, but it doesn't neccessarily make him gay or even bisexual...why would you want to probe into someone's life like that anyway?. (at least without knowing them very well) Wouldn't you think it just a wee bit ignorant if a guy posted up a statement on the org about "I heard that some girls kiss their friends on the dancefloor for fun, and/or even go to gay clubs sometimes just for what seems like the sexual aspect of it...So next time I meet a girl I'm gonna ask her all about it because wtf she like could be gay maybe or just into gay sex or something..."?
Yes straight men want to go out to gay clubs and hang out w/ gay people "for the sex of it" because gay people always want to get into everyone's pants, right? rolleyes
You claim to say things other people don't have the courage to, but it seems to me that is meaely a cover for your rather narrow views on some subjects. There is a fine line between bravery and sheer stupidity, babygirl.

You've made many good points here... but the one that I especially like is the assumption that just because someone is gay, they will find ANY member of the same sex attractive and try to come on to them.

I had a friend who thought that... we went to a gay bar one night and he was having problems with it because he figured all of the gay men in there would be all over him, etc.., so, I told him that he was safe because he probably wasn't any of their type, just as he wasn't the type of any member of the opposite sex.

big grin

Good post...

I missed the supposed humor of this post because given some of your previous threads on homosexuality (since according to other previous statements of yours bisexuality doesn't exist...they're just "greedy") you seem to have a severe lack of understanding of those differently oriented than you are. I am aware of the issue of people such as you speak of (men who are leading gay/straight double lives). However if people such as yourself would desist making them the butt of jokes or bearer of stereotypes, such individuals would be more upfront about their personal practices. Oh wait that would add to the phenomenon of there being "so many gay people now". Good God us gays/lesbians/bisexuaL/transgendered people spread faster than SARS! Whatever shall you do with yourself? I assume you'd continue to spout the same tied platitude of pathetic sterotypes that has come up in almost every thread involving you and the subject of gay people. I could almost die from the total lack of surprise. rolleyes yawn

hmmm...what does being gay have to do with being "hard" or not (lawd, no pun intended). I've been to gay bars doing outreach and the "thugged nuccas" are there doing their thang...

At the same time...well...there are sooo many issues about this thread...I don't even know where to begin...

Fuck political correctness...I'm bisexual and feel the statments you are making are offensive to a community I'm very much a part of...Also if a man is gay why does that make his "thugged out" masculine qualities less genuine? There are plenty of masculine acting gay men, just as there are feminine lesbians. A straight person is not judged as being less masculine or feminine for being straight, as that really is not relevant to the discussion. Why should sexual preference determine a persons right to assume the gender role (another concept you seem to hold as quite fixed and rigid) they feel comfortable with? A person's physical sex (which is determined by obvious means at birth) has nothing to do with their personal concept of gender (which is determined by cultural conditioning and personal worldview). I'm getting upset with the statements you are making because myself and many others feel the effect of this type of pigeon holed thinking on a daily basis...
As for the "I have gay friends... I love everyone"statement...I've met many a racist, sexist or otherwise prejudiced person use this line "I am not (racist, sexist, anti semetic, insert prejudice here) ...I have (black, female, Jewish, whatever) FRIENDS..." Meanwhile the person is perpetuating nasty stereotypes or misconceptions that they supposedly don't support.

Lisa, when u say "ur making something out of nothing" then you are calling your posts nothing... which is pretty silly.

& if it is infact 'nothing' then why post it when it has great potential 2 upset people of a certain persuasion (type-o?)

"IF I CHOOSE TO BE THIS WAY"? It is highly unlikely that anyone voluntarily CHOOSES a sexual orientation, yet another rather ignorant misconception. Did you choose to be straight? No you just folllowed what was the natural path for you (in terms of whom you were attracted to). I did not choose anything about my orientation any more than I did my height or skin tone. If one did indeed "choose" an orientation, how do you care to explain the fact that I come from a large family of straight people, never knew the meaning of the word "gay" or was in an enviroment w/ them until I was nearly a teenager and I had started having attractions/ crushes on people of both genders years before then? I didn't even realize there was a difference between myself and others (in terms of romantic attraction) or even a word for it until years later! The path of a gay person is not the easiest and it seems unlikely that if humans were given a "choice" (which of course they ARE NOT, but speaking in a purely hypothetical/rhetorical sense) in the matter that anyone with a fully fuctional brain would choose dealing with bigotry and hatred, and the constant stereotyping on a whim. Regardless of a person's chosen activities in the bedroom, that is a piss poor measure by which to judge them as a person, which is EXACTLY what you are doing.

Also look up the meaning of the word "racist" BABEH (apparently some basic spelling and english grammar lessons are necessary too) rolleyes, the things I am pointing out have to do w/ statements you made that show signs of HOMOPHOBIA. Just in case you are not aware of what that means:
homophobia (ho'mo'PHO'bia): noun- 1.the fear of dislike of homosexual (gay) people or persons 2. a reference term (also a noun) to actions or words that display said dislike or fear
see also:homosexual
homophobic

I am making a big deal because of the following statements/comments:
1. Being gay and being hard or thugged out is laughable (why?)
2. I "chose" to be gay. (which is enough in and of itself to offend me, in a MAJOR way)
3. This continues a pattern of comments started with the original "There are no bisexuals" thread.
4. That if you indeed are friends with gay people, that you would even say things this incredibly ignorant. Have you ever told them about how they "chose" to be gay? I'm pretty sure they would not take that too kindly.
5. That straight men go to gay clubs only for sex, and the implication of gay people wanting to sleep w/ any member of their sex, if possible.
I have broken it down into small pieces. These statements listed above are some of the main reasons I'm pissed off at this thread. There are other secondary principles I find offensive, but those are the major things that really piss me off.
If you can not understand with my breaking it down like this...you are quite obtuse. At least that is the most polite word I can think of.

I love everyone"statement...I've met many a racist, sexist or otherwise prejudiced person use this line "I am not (racist, sexist, anti semetic, insert prejudice here) ...I have (black, female, Jewish, whatever) FRIENDS..." Meanwhile the person is perpetuating nasty stereotypes or misconceptions that they supposedly don't support.

if you choose to be this way, then why do you care what I say or think, I could careless of what you, you don't have to justify anything to me, I haven't judge anybody, yet you're the one who's judging me as a racist or a sexiest or whatever,... I have nothing against people and if anybody knows me, they know for this for a fact. I think you are just so quick to being offensive about your sexuality, you're ready to stab somebody with a knife that had no intentions of doing no harm whatsoever, I still don't see how my statment is offensive when considering the fact it was not about you. If you choose to be this way then fine, you gotta understand everybody is not going agree, just like you don't agree with half the things I say, it's what makes the world go round babeh... but please don't call me racist call that's what I'm not I ain't got nothing against nobody smile

"If you choose to be this way, then why do you care what i say or think..."...omfg...like being gay/bi/transgender is a fucking choice?...Truthfully, would u seriously "choose" this life?...confuse...would u want to live your entire life having to deal with knuckldraggers who want to do nothing but try to divide ppl into little boxes?...ok...i am a gay man...i am not a "fem" person...Usually when ppl meet me on the street they have no idea who i sleep with...So more than likely Lisa you would hit on me...I have a lot of gay friends i.e. "thugged nuccas" at this concept...who think that it is none of anyones business what goes on in their bedrooms...and they would never tell you that they have a boyfriend at home, because a lot of ppl don't take well to rejection...not to say that they would lead you on, but at risk of being "outed" they would just let you come to your own conclusions...The whole "I have many gay friends" thing, do they know what you post here?...have you ever really printed out any of the topics that you start and send them a copy to get their reaction?...but anyway...i am tired of bitching on this topic...hope you free your mind one day...hug

Alex u know we're cool, we even dicuss on different guys who we think is hott or not before... I just still don't understand why in the hell is AprilMichelle making such a big deal about this... becuase the whole point of this thread was... (you know someone always miss the point) next guy I talk to, I'm going to ask him if he ever had any same sex experiences, if so, I want to know, how in the freak did I turn out to be a racist, it beats the hell out of me, but aww well you win and a loose some, you don't see me crying, I will continue to make friends or the org gay, straight or whatever and when I date a guy, I'm still going to ask the question which started this whole conversation in the first damn place ...
