GIFT GIVING

What are you getting your mama for Mother's Day? I'll probably just buy mine flowers, a cake and a nice gift.

What I've done is this:

I went through magazines and clip art and found pictures of places and instances that her and I shared through life, and I cut them out and pasted them in a book... then I wrote a short sentence or paragraph about each "moment" we had shared, some funny times, some not-so-good times and some very happy times. Along with that I'm writing her a thank you card.

It'll Probably be the usual, all the men in the family usually cook for all the women (who are mothers) in my family, but I said I was still going to get my mother a card smile

I came home from work today and my kids had made me gifts for Mother's Day. Well, my son is extremely impatient like me, so he couldn't wait to give it to me. My daughter won't give me hers yet, even though I have begged. sad

Anyway... this is what I got from my son... he made me a book and he drew the pictures to go along with each page and wrote it himself. smile

"The Dog Got Lost"

The dog saw a bird. And he thought he could chase the bird and he ran all the way to night. And he ran all in to the forest. And he didn't get the bird yet. And he was all most tired at sunset but he could not give up. And a giant giant big star. The bird grew bigger and bigger until he got too big and he got shot. And they did not know which house was theres. And they kept looking. And they found points of long grass and raining chickens got caught on the grass. And the little girl found her dog. And she took him for a walk.

I love you mamma.

I thought it was cute! (I also thought it read sort of like the bible).

lol

Since I shared my son's story with you all... here is the book that my daughter did for me. She drew the pictures and she told my son what to write and he wrote it for her:

Barbie Lost Her Dog

The barbie lost her dog in the forest. And then she said, "Oh, she ran away!" And then she said, "Oh, she came back!" I got an idea for the cash register for the king to give to the majesty. And then I have to go back home.

(I corrected some of the errors he made in spelling... just so you knew what it said... he had trouble with majesty and cash register!)

So... I was given two very cute stories and two home-made boxes with candy in them! YAY!

smile
