On Wednesday I read Possessed and haven't started another book since. I didn't really care that much for Possessed, but not for the reasons that others give. I just thought the book was boring and didn't really give us enough NEW information. But then again if the information isn't there it isn't there.

None, sadly. I haven't read a book for pleasure since last summer's vacation. It was Joe College by Tom Perrotta... it was on the bookshelf in the room where I was staying.

Recently I was recommended the book The Ethical Slut: A Guide to Infinite Sexual Possibilities by Dossie Easton and Catherine A. Liszt. I might read it this summer, although I really don't think I want to read it in front of my relatives.

Fcuz, I have recently finished reading the rather bleak
"Waiting For The Barbarians" by Coetzee which we
would read for our 'org bookclub'. [so when is 9's due
back here? His sabattical not over yet?]

Then I read "Fahrenheit 451" by Ray Bradburry which
was quite fun but a little easy and middle of the road
future vision a la "brave new world", only watered down and
not quite shocking. I only read it since a large portion of
Radiohead's "Amnesiac" artwork mentions and is based on
that particular book.

Today I read "The Eye" by Nabokov again. Fourth time
I've read it and it's still a little gem. Only 79 pages but
a lot of stuff going on and some very cool scenes that are
funny as fuck.

And just an hour ago I started in the book I bought last
week, "Rimbaud, The Biography" by Graham Robb. He
also wrote bios on Balzac and Victor Hugo and I like his
style. His writing is very pleasant and he present a lot
of facts about writers whom are still a bit of a mysterie
to me eventough I read a lot of their work.

I'm looking forward to snuggling up in with this book
tonight since I almost pissed my pants as I had a quick
flick through it and my eye caught a scene where Robb
describes an argument between Rimbaud and Verlaine,
during which Verlaine smacks Rimbaud across the face with
a fresh haddock.

I'm reading a book called "Lucky" written by Alice Seabold. It's about her surviving her own rape, very disturbing and yet very inspirational.

She's also the author of "Lovely Bones" which I hear is excellent. Anyone familiar with this author?
