There is a problem with a water main very close to where I live, and because of this, I have no water coming out of any of my faucets. I can't even get water so I can at least wash my face.

A flyer was posted in the hallway of the condo where I live, explaining the problem and also saying that the condo association could not get any helpful information from the City Water Department as to when the water will be restored. They are recommending that we call the City ourselves to complain, which I am definitely going to do, since we all need water to bathe, cook, etc. etc. I just hope this is not something that is going to drag on forever; I hope this is something that gets resolved soon.

Then this morning the electricity went off twice on me. I called to report it and was told that the power would not be restored until 2 p.m. Luckily, the power is now back on; it didn't take as long as they thought it would.

I tell ya, this place I live in is turning into a real dump! If I had the money, believe me, I would get the hell out of here and buy a house. But unfortunately that's not an option for me, so it looks like I'm stuck in this hell hole.

Did you get a shower first?

Thanks. What makes it worse is that I just called the city and was told that the water main was shut off, and that they don't have any specific timeframe as to when it will be fixed. I'm sure they will get a lot of complaints from people bitching about not having any water. Hopefully, if people keep calling, the City will get off their collective behinds and get the problem resolved.

Well, the good news is that the water is back on where I live. The water is a bit rusty, but if you let the faucet run for a minute or two, it's okay to use. Let's hope it stays on now!
