I always had an image in my head of what my wedding would be like... the first time around, it was nothing close. Then, I nearly had hope for a moment, and was thinking I would have that wedding I dreamed of. Now, I don't think I will ever marry again. I don't think it's for me.

My ex-wife and I had two weddings: The first was to formalize our relationship and involved a very small circle of family members. The second was held a few months later, when college friends, etc., were back in town and could attend. It was a big, beautiful affair.
Still, the wedding pales in comparison to the relationship... the best part of both wedding days for me was looting our wishing well and taking off for the honeymoons. the exhileration of being with your partner and going off to take on some new part of the world is amazing in a sort of Bonnie & Clyde way.
