Hands up if you have a Prince Symbol, or any other Prince related Tattoo on your body.

Where is it and how big is it?

I have a small black symbol on my right ankle, it is about an inch big and got it done 2 years ago.

Don't have a tatoo, but I once sat on Prince and I still have his print on my ass.

Yup, got the symbol in blue on my upper right arm...

Yes I have one on my left arm. The next time I go to one of his shows, I'm gonna point it out to him just to piss him off lol. Since I hear he isn't too fond of them.

My first tattoo was the symbol. I did it in March, 1993, when it was an album title, and not his name.

My next Prince tattoo is "1999" on my left arm. I did it on my birthday in 1999.

I got it in August of '98

& of course now I feel like an IDIOT for having it, after Knucklehead changed his name back to "Prince", & the explanation he gave for using made a mockery of the whole name change.. & it's definitely a reason why I'm no longer "a fan"


I've thought about removing it..
but that would cost MORE THAN I'D WANT TO PAY..
(I ought to have Knucklehead pay to remove it, since it's not his name anymore.. but I know he would keel over, laughing hysterically..)

so what I will probably do at some point is

get another tattoo that obscures the symbol..

I got the symbol tattoo long before Prince used it as his "name". Who cares if Prince uses it as his name or not? It's still a cool symbol that makes a really nice tattoo.

Doesn't matter if he doesn't go by it anymore.Most people don't even know he's Prince again anyway.

I haven't got one myself, but when I was in Sydney I saw a guy in a club with his shirt off, with the symbol tattoo at the base of his spine, and it was one of the sexiest things I've ever seen.

Because to me, he LIED about the name change; he finally admitted that it was more about circumventing his WB deal at the time than it was about some "great spiritual awakening" or epiphany, like he initially said.


Before anyone comes to me with it:

NO, I am not now (nor have I ever been) 1 of those people who thinks "Prince 'owes' me" just because I bought his records or went to his shows or did whatever for him.. it really is not about that.


It's like, when I see that tattoo now, I think of how "naive" I was..

They filmed my Symbol tattoo during the filming of the Vegas show. Hope it comes out on the DVD! It's a purple symbol being held by a dove.
