Who Can't Open Eyes During A Bad Dream

This has happened to me on several occassions when I sleep.

I'll be sleeping peacefully then all of a sudden I feel as
if I'm going to wake up. Only problem is I can't open my
eyes!

It's as if someone or something has shut my eyes, or there's a heavy weight on them. All I see is dark. I'm not sleeping anymore because I'm aware of everything around me and I want to wake up. My eyes just won't open. I try so hard. Then I feel so vulnerable and get really scared.I feel someone is next to me. My eyes won't open!

Then my eyes open without effort, and it was a nightmare. It's happened to me a bunch of times.

Has it happened to you? eek

No it hasn't. But sometimes, when I pee, I get this burning sensation.

You are right, I think Biscuit should see a Doctor. Or maybe an Optician?

That has happened to me...

but what I hate most

is when I wake up from a nightmare

and I am so fucking scared that

I can't move a muscle nor can I call out...

I try to yell or speak but nothing comes out

and my mouth is so dry and I can't utter a sound...

it is the most frightening thing sad

must be where the expressions "scared stiff"

and "paralyzed with fear" comes from...

paralyzed right down to the old vocal chords...

Damn I hate when that happens...

Similar, but not exactly.

See, my nightmares are never about anything specifically scary, like someone chasing me with an ax, or monsters or anything like when you were a kid. Now when I have nightmares, it's not that anything's really going wrong in my dream, I just have an overwhelming feeling of anxiety. It's like having a panic attack in your sleep. Luckily, most of the time I realize I'm only dreaming and am able to calm myself down enough to wake myself up.

I had that happen to me a few times. I could feel in real life my body is rolling around on the bed. One time this dream just felt like my whole room was moving around and I could just feel my body rolling around and me fell out of bed now that helped my eyes to wake up but I hurt my foot landed on something sharp that deep cut the bottom part of my foot. No, I'm not on any drugs the can't open eyes dreams haven't happen in a while back in my teenage days had the worst ones.
