last summer i had a bad pain in my pelvic bone so i went to the doctor for an exam and he said "you definetly have an std" so he gave me all these shots. i was sweating for a few days tryin to figure out where i got it since i'd been with the same guy for 2 years and he was the 2nd guy i'd ever been with - then the lab tests came back negative for everything - come to find out the pain was from my back being out of wack!!! stupid doctors!

Probably the most uncomfortable STD I've had so far is stingrays. Talk about itchy.

I started flipping out about two months ago.

I had a getogether at my apartment that got a little too friendly. There were several of us participating. For several days after it my throat was getting more and more sore.

I asked the people that I was with that night if any of them had the flu or strep throat or something, and they all said no.

Then when I started reading online about various STDs, I started to become paranoid that it might be ghonorea of the throat. Even though its relatively rare, I figured it was just my luck. Then the more I read about it, I guess all they do is prescribe you antibiotics and it clears right up.

I was too embarassed to go to our family doctor to see if thats in fact what it was. But thankfully my mom had a bunch of leftover antibiotics. I told her I thought I might be coming down with a cold or possibly strep, so she gave me the antibiotics, and in two days I felt fine.

I still don't know what exactly I had, as I was smoking alot and drinking alot that night, so it may have just been a cold.

Reading about that stuff though, I was suprised at the various STDs that can sometimes develop in your throat.

Just got tested...all good!

I haven't had many partners (such a shame for a queer/poly girl to have to say that, but it's true), so I've had limited exposure. But y'all remind me of the need to be careful. Or celibate.
