There is a Huge Bumblebee Outside My Window

This bee is starting to really annoy me! It just keeps buzzing around outside my window for days now. I'm not sure what's attracting it, but it's always out there. pissed

Luckily I have a screen in my window, but I am sorely tempted to spray him with bug killer, just to get rid of the bastard. I'm sick of hearing that annoying "bzzz" all day. sad
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I like ladybirds! We used to pick them up on our fingers and let them crawl on our hands!

Ladybugs...but, I knew what you meant. For the past few years we've had swarms of asian ladybugs in the summers here in Michigan. A friend of mine and her husband went to their cottage and they said it was like walking on popcorn kernels because there were so many of them barf
But, I still think they're cute smile

Lady Bug Song:

Fly, Ladybug, Fly

Fly, Ladybug, Fly

Fly over here, Fly over there.

They fly up high and they fly down low,

Around and around and around they go,

They fly so fast and they fly so slow

Oh, fly ladybugs fly.

Those don't look like Lady Bugs to me -- their bodies are too long (lady bugs are more round)...I know there are some insects that are marked -- for safety -- to look like Lady Bugs.

hmmm... confuse

Maybe Lady Bugs and Lady Birds are two different things?

I remember a few summers ago when there were ladybugs all over the front area of the condo where I live. Every time I went outside, I would get some on my clothes. Some of the ladybugs even got inside and would hang around the front door. LOL - but I don't mind ladybugs, I love them, they are definitely cuter than bumblebees. In fact, when I was little, we used to call ladybugs with no spots on them "manbugs". lol
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

This is how it describes that image:

Ladybird Beetle (Coccinella novemnotata)

These familiar beetles are easily recognized by their red color and spotted markings. The number and location of the spots on a Ladybird Beetle depend on the particular species. Most Ladybird Beetles are very beneficial in gardens; they aid in the controlling of garden pests by eating other insects--such as aphids--that cause harm to plants.

I don't know..confuse

I think Lady Bugs and Lady Birds are the same, according to your definition, Lleena. I know there are different types of Lady Bugs/Lady Birds. biggrin

Yes, a friend once told me that finding a ladybug was good luck, and to kill one was bad luck. I guess ladybugs give off an awful smell when you step on them. Poor things, I would never think of killing one, they are just too darn cute. sad
