Herbal Tea

Now that i have given up coffee. I want to start drinking herbal decaffinated teas. Can anybody reccomend some and tell me what that perticular tea is good for? I would like one that can help lower blood pressure. Mine is fine at the moment, but i want every edge i can get.

If you are giving up coffee for health reasons, drink herbal tea. Never, never drink decaffinated drinks. They have more chemicals in which are more damaging to your health than caffiene drinks.

The herbal tea i have been drinking says no caffine. I'm new to this so i guess decaffinated means the caffine was taken out. No caffine means there was never any in the tea.

What does "decaffeinated" mean? Decaffeinated means that some of the caffeine normally found in the food or beverage has been removed. Caffeine-Free means there is no caffeine in the food or beverage

I learned from a doctor that decaffeinated coffee does indeed still contain caffeine in a reduced amount. Often very low to 50%. He was telling me that often people seeking caffeine will just drink 2 cups of decaffe instead of the regular 1. Not knowing they are ingesting the exact same amount.

So, I will stick to the real thing! A girl must have her vices!

I heard that driking purple grape juice is good for lowering blood pressure. Since you've given-up coffee how do you get your jump start every morning? I have to have my caffeine in the morning or I just cant function right.

I treat coffee like every other drug i ever did...i dropped it cold turkey. Haven't had any coffee in over three weeks straight. I used to have a venti straight black coffee with a shot of expresso at least once a day sometimes two. Now i just get up and go to work. I'm drug free right now. I haven't even had alcohol in two weeks.

I feel a little slow, but i can feel myself feeling better in the morning of each passing day. I hit depression for the first time in my life a week ago. I woke up in the morning and felt sad because i couldn't have a cup of coffee. I have done almost every drug you could imagine(with the exception of heroin) and i can tell you coffee is the hardest drug i ever had to give up. Everything else was easy. Coffee left me with a headache and a depression.

I hear that! I know it is true. I have had the headache before. I am not ready for an intervention just yet! I have made enough changes lately. smile

these are my two favs. good luck with your non-caffeinated lifestyle, the C

peppermint tea is good for circulation - expands capillaries - use for stomaches and headaches

chamomile tea is good for soothing you down if you're stressed - use before bedtime or just to refresh
