CHILDHOOD SCARS

Did you ever phuck yourself up pretty bad when you were growing-up as a child? I for one did, I ran into the back of a parked car on my friends bike and put a hole in my chin, fell of the monkey bars in second grade and split my lip open and dislocated my knee and pulled the ligaments. So what's your story? wink

I have 2 scars on my scalp. 1 from when I was 2 years old and we were at my cousin's house jumping from the back of a hide-a-bed out onto the pull-out mattress. I fell off the back and landed on my head. I was rushed to the hospital for stictches. I still remember exactly what the hospital room looked like, the doctor who stitched me up and all that. It's my earliest memory.
The 2nd one is from when I was 17 and I was inside our garage and was lifting the garage door cause I had to mow the lawn. When I went to lift it, the top section's top 2 wheels came off the track and it fell down and hit me on the head. I sat down, just holding my head in pain with my eyes closed. After a moment I heard a drip, drip, drip and opened my eyes to see what it was. Blood was dripping off the end of my elbow. Being home alone, I walked in the house, went to the bathroom, peeled my hand off my head and placed a towel there, then went to the phone to call someone to come over and look at my head. I finally got a hold of my boyfriend and the people he was staying with came over, took one look at me and brought me to the hospital. Meanwhile, my parents get home, I'm not there, but my car is and then they find blood on the phone and a pool of blood in the garage. I got a few stitches and my parents had to wake me every few hours to make sure I didn't have a concussion.

Where should I start? I was a tomboy wink

When I was one and a half, my cousin Nick threw me out of our second-story window onto the garage roof. I cut up my legs pretty bad. He's a messed-up kid.

When I was two, my mother left me in the tub while the water was filling up and ran to get the phone. I stood up and slipped and slammed my eye into the faucet. I have a light gash right under my left eyebrow. It's not a different color, just like a little chunk out of the skin. Yummy...

When I was six, I picked up one of our cats and she was shy and hated to be held so she sliced the bridge of my nose open, literally. They couldn't stitch it so I had to have a butterfly bandage on it for a few weeks. The scar isn't very visible at all because I have freckles. You can't see it unless I point it out. Whew!

When I was playing on top of a fort at one of the horrid daycares I had to go to when I was about eight, I fell off head first and sliced my left leg wide open in the front side of my shin on the flat side of a rusty nail on the fort. The skin was actually hanging from the nail! omfg ill That scar has shrunk a lot and is now only about two inches long and about a centimeter wide.
That daycare was closed two months later and he was fined thousands of dollars because of the conditions us kids were in. There were chainsaws lying around, other power tools, sharp objects like cut scrap metal, etc. They also wouldn't feed us and he would yell in my face and blame me for things his kids would do. One time he yanked me by my arm so hard it went out of socket and gave me a huge rash where he yanked my skin. He scared me so bad that I was afraid to tell my father.

When I was nine, I went to a birthday party at the City Park and there was a very high slide that us kids weren't allowed to go on. I went on it, of course, and fell off the top. I cut up my knees and elbows and was out for two days. When I woke up, I frantically said to my dad: "Daddy! Did we miss Casey's party?!"

Back on track, sorry... When I was ten, our same neighbor Casey and I were sparring with long sticks and he jabbed me in the thumb. The stick literally went into my skin and was shoved under, like an i.v. Don't worry, I won, I got him in the leg bad! biggrin

I have numerous scars everywhere else... but can't remember too well how I got them.

i have scars on my left leg from:

bandaid when i wuz about 5, me and my folks were walkin across this supermarket parkin lot, and i tripped n'fell...got this nasty little scar that's still on my left knee.

bandaid when i wuz about 18, i wuz walkin around my bed...the bedframe had these sharp edges that were stickin out, and i scraped my leg on it. i got this wicked-lookin 2-inch scar on my shin from that.

on my face:

eye when i wuz 6, i wuz at my grandma's house, playin on the bed or sumfin and i bumped my head against this sharp edge at the head of the bed. ended up gettin a big-ass cut on my right eyebrow, and u can still see it 2 this day (i kinna like it...makes me look cool).

kiss my mom had one of those old-skool popcorn poppers with the metal bottoms, and whenever there wuz popcorn poppin i'd always get my face as close 2 the popper as i could 2 watch it...when i wuz about 5 my lil' ass got 2 close. burnt the hell outta my lower lip...if u were 2 look at my lower lip u could see it's still a bit discolored from the burn marks.

...other than those, i've never broken any bones or anything of that sort.

1st I was 5 playing outside on the rusty swing set while on summer break in NC. My aunt told me to go outside and play while she took a nap (she had just got off work). Everything was fine until... me being a daredevil tryed to hang on the top bar. Well, I did it but on the fall I tried to catch myself on the slide. The slide had a bent rusty piece that was hanging out and it caught the side of my stomach!! I was attached to the swing dangling. I couldn't scream because my aunt said to be nice and quiet and I would get a treat!! I had to tear myself off the slide! I had a 2 inch puncture wound and a 5 inch tear. I went in the house and tried to clean it with alcohol (dang! remember I was 5 ok) I screamed!! My aunt came running, she said "I thought I told you to go outside and be quiet!", I couldn't do anything but lift up my shirt to show her what happened. It was a 3 hour stay at the hospital, 3 shots, 12 stiches and a popsickle! A friggin popsickle!! But it was all worth while.. we got a new swing set and I got to go to Detroit every summer after that!!
That's where I heard Prince 4 years later!! (it's been love ever since)

2nd I was in the 2nd grade!!! My class just came in from outside playing and we were standing in line. A lot of pushing was happening because we were in line to get water. I was pushed into the corner of the wall and I hit my head. It hurt but I thought I was sweating because I felt something run down my face. I took my WHITE sweater off and rubbed my face with it and blood was everywhere! 2 stiches and the rest of the year as the teachers pet!! YEAH!!! She felt really bad because (I heard her say this to another teacher) she just wanted to get these bad azz kids in the room!! LoL!!!

That's my childhood scars with a Prince twist!!

Peace & Love!!
you want me to move my big azz where, while you work on what.... baby?

i got to get away

I only have 3.

bandaid I was having a water fight with my dad and he yanked on the hose. The metal handle took about an inch of skin with it. It left a little kidney-bean shaped scar above my right thumb.

bandaid I dropped a metal bedframe on my foot, and my friend's mom had to carry me bleeding and screaming accross the neighborhood (I was pretty young). Didn't get stitches quickly enough to prevent a scar.

bandaid I had a very angry cat by the scruff at work awhile back, and he was more flexible than I expected and reached up and raked the top of my left hand with his rear claws. Then he bit the doctor. Nice kitty. Anyway, the scratches were pretty deep, and they look to have scarred. Kind of 'Clan of the Cave Bear' looking. biggrin

My sister has a few. I accidentally hit her in the forehead with a peice of firewood I was throwing off of a truck once, and another time she dove off of the bathroom counter into the bathtub and had to have several stitches. I thought that was pretty funny.
