Department of Motor Vehicles

Muse celebrates her birthday on December 17th of every year.
Muse's drivers lisence should have been renewed on that date last year. So Muse now gets to take the Drivers written test tommarow!

flipped off Don't CHEAT! Answer the quiz BEFORE reading the thread!!! smile

Let us test our knowledge together! This or that style:

2. Which of the following statements about blind spots is true?

- They are eliminated if you have one outside mirror on each side of the vehicle.
- Large trucks have bigger blind spots than most passenger vehicles.
- Blind spots can be checked by looking in your rear view mirrors.

3. You have been involved in a minor traffic collision with a parked vehicle and you can't find the owner. You must:

- Leave a note on the vehicle.
- Report the accident without delay to the city police or, in unincorporated areas, to the CHP.
- Both of the above.

4. Unless otherwise posted the speed limit in a residential area is ___.

- 20 mph
- 25 mph
- 30 mph

5. You may legally block an intersection:

- When you entered the intersection on the green light.
- During rush hour traffic.
- Under no circumstances.

6. When parking uphill on a two-way street with no curb, your front wheels should be:

- Turned to the left (toward the street).
- Turned to the right (away from the street).
- Parallel with the pavement.

7. With a Class C drivers license a person may drive:

- A 3-axle vehicle if the Gross Vehicle Weight is less than 6,000 pounds.
- Any 3-axle vehicle regardless of the weight.
- A vehicle pulling two trailers.

8. To turn left from a multilane one-way street onto a one-way street, you should start your turn from:

- Any lane (as long as it is safe)
- The lane closest to the left curb
- The lane in the center of the road.

9. If you are involved in a traffic collision, you are required to complete and submit a written report (SR1) to the DMV:

- Only if you or the other driver is injured.
- If there is property damage in excess of $500 or if there are any injuries.
- Only if you are at fault.

10. Roadways are the most slippery:

The policeman on Friday told me it was in excess of $750, not $500.

The Department of Motor Vehicles thread reminds me of something that once happened to me. When I was old enough to learn how to drive, I went to the Department of Motor Vehicles to take the written test. Well, I didn't do so well on the test and flunked it. sad What made it worse was there was a woman cop there who actually yelled at me for flunking. lol WTF?? lol I can laugh now, but when it happened I was pretty upset about it. sad

The good news is that the next time I went to take the written exam, I passed, and I passed the driving exam with flying colors. woot! yay! So the story had a happy ending.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Yes, state officials can throw an incredible attitude! The last time I was there which was a long time ago, The woman was so horridly RUDE to everyone that I went off! I didn't catch what window she wanted me to go to SO I said, Im sorry what number was that? She shouted it as rude as she could. pissed So I shouted right back.
Thank you, Now could you tell me, ARE YOU PAID TO DISSEMINATE INFORMATION LIKE THE SIGN SAYS OR BE RUDE? I reminded her that it was our state taxes that paid her. (In truth I was really upset because the woman in front of me had a rough time with English. She treated her like she was retarded.) She was entirely demeaning. At least she learned the language and was trying.

 Security came over and flanked me. I don't think they liked her either as they sort of smiled and did nothing.
