Seriously, the thing that scares me is that their personalities have taken on a different tone... Like Prince is watching...

It is scary...

Have fun with the NPGMC folks...

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

The "What are you listening to" thread has been on usenet newsgroups for years... mr.green
It is regularly seen on usenet notably in alt.music.prince...
althom ain't guilty of nuthin or of any counts. Not even one... highfive
Even though he started the "What are you listening to?" thread at The NPGMC. That type of thread has been around for a long time. Free James Brown!... I mean Free althom!...

Below is one of the first "What are you listening to?" threads.
Posted November 10th 1993.

[pre:1:cf1fa983ed]From: jamesp@hls.com (jamesp@hls.com)
Subject: What are you listening to?
Newsgroups: rec.music.afro-latin
Date: 1993-11-10 16:59:26 PST

There was a thread in rec.music.misc. about what were people listening to
right now, (that is at work, school, home, in the car, etc.). Shall we try
a thread for this newsgroup? Albeit, not everyone listens to afro-latin
music all the time, I'd like to see what people are listening to most/some of
the time. No rules, limits or regulation. Eclectic lists are always welcomed.

Allow me begin with my list:

1. Irakere. Live @ Ronnie Scott's
Thank you to the person/s who recommended this fabulous cd.

2. Gilbert Gil. O eterno deus mu danca (the eternal god of change)
Having enjoyed this cd so much I went out and bought EXTRA and
RACA HUMANA.

3. Jerry Gonzales. Rumba para Monk
I saw him two years ago at Kimbal's East (in Emeryville, CA), and
wonder what took me so long to buy his music. Looking for MOLIENDO
CAFE.

4. The Original Mambo Kings.
An Anthology of who started it all. Term used, Afro-Cubop.

5. Vince Guaraldi. Greatest Hits.
Peanuts lives. Anyone know about his album w/ Bola Sete?

Please carry on,

Jp[/pre:1:cf1fa983ed]

Have ya'll checked out the Forum at the NPGMC "For those who want to get deeper" (Can't think of what they call it)?

Each thread lasts about one page. Really deep...
I'm firmly planted in denial
