Anything happen lately that made you feel really good?

Yesterday I was stopped at a red light downtown, en route from my office to my apartment, where I was going to make myself some lunch. A law school classmate of mine (I graduated in May 2002) crossed the street in front of my car. Back in law school. she and I would regularly pick up handouts for the other or provide any other important info if one of us missed class.

I recognized her and got her attention. She looked at me and exclaimed:

"You look great!"

That made my day. mr.green

Last night I got the feeling that this guy I'm digging on is digging on me too.

And apparently, his housemate is digging on me as well!

As Christopher said, "ahhh love triangles."

My good friend and co-worker/cubicle partner Alethea went into brain surgery yesterday. The doctors told us to expect the worst because there were three tumors and two strokes on her brain.

I got a call late last night from her mother. They were all benign, and they removed them all, completely. She's recovering beautifully.

Alethea is 29 and a beautiful person. She has four children and is raising them all by herself. She recently got out of an abusive relationship and over the past month was planning her funeral, will, and all of the exhausting paperwork regarding the custody of each child after her expected death.

But she has kept positive and is the strongest person I know now. I honestly know that her attitude towards life has MUCH to do with her already speedy recovery in a time where the doctors told us there's be an 80% chance of her dying during the risky surgery alone.

I get to visit her tomorrow.

heart

For all of that, I now believe in miracles and am very happy. Life is fragile and precious, and you never know when yours will be over.

Thank you so much!

That's wonderful about you and your daughter...

the company I work for has a comittee (in each office nationwide) called Helping Hands devoted to community service and fundraising... I've been in it for over two years now, and we have so much fun- every three months, we get together with a team of people in the Special Olympics to play a softball game.

They kick our BUTTS! No joke! They're awesome! We don't even come close... it's so much fun! our last one was a blast... it was raining, but we still played... most of us were pretty muddy by the last inning. The score was 18-6! Their team is amazing! biggrin

confused

I was driving my housemate's car and some fucker rear-ended me, then proceeded to take off. Four cars were involved. AND the guy who hit me didn't have insurance on him, so god only knows if he even has it.

I don't ever fucking drive here and the only time I do, I get hit. What the fuck is that shit!

Oops sorry, I guess this defeats the purpose of the thread...

Today, my daughters and I were riding home from a long, busy, cold rainy day of dance competion at a local amusement park.

I was tired, cold and absolutely drained of all energy. I had Emancipation Disc III in the cd player and "Face Down" comes on...

Opening riff comes on and from the back I hear "Just like Elmo..." instead of "Dead like Elvis..."

That had me laughing out loud all the way home as my 6 year old continued to sing that line throughout the entire song.

Very nice way to end a rather trying day.

Like pebbles or stepping stones, there's all sorts of landcaping use. It's easier to care for than grass, which can sometimes be a pain in the butt due to pets, weeds, certain types of soil, and climates. It's also nice to wrap around bushes, etc. smile

Did you google it, or did you just know?

Back to the "good" thing, in spirit of this thread...

I was blowing my nose a couple hours ago, and this gigantic, monstrous snot ball came out on my kleenex. I'm not even lying. It was the size of my god damn fist or something. I know that sounds extremely gross, but oh my god, it felt good!

It felt better than masturbating, even. It lasted a few seconds, and then my nose was plugged again. I had no idea I could produce so much snot.
