"I think it's dark and it looks like rain"
You said "And the wind is blowing like it's the end of the world" You said "And it's so cold It's like the cold if you were dead" And then you smiled For a second "I think I'm old and I'm feeling pain" You said "And it's all running out like it's the end of the world" You said "And it's so cold it's like the cold if you were dead" And then you smiled For a second Sometimes you make me feel Like I'm living at the edge of the world Like I'm living at the edge of the world "It's just the way I smile" You said

"The Living Dead" If I was the wife of an acrobat... Could of had it all...Could of had it all... Where's all the money gone? - I'm talking to you, All up the whole in your arm, is the needle a much better screw? But oh, what will you do alone? Cos I have to go. Where is this life of fun that you promised me? Nothing here works but your works and I mean it I have to leave But oh, what will you do alone? Cos I have to go. If I was the wife of an acrobat would I look like the living dead, boy? You're on the wire and can't get back,Let's talk about the living dead Could have had a car, could have had it all, Could have walked in the sky but we stare at the wall. I know where the money's gone I know what you do Cos I've seen the hole in your arm and the needle's a much better screw but oh, what will you do alone? Cos I have to go. wow. I can't wait to see them! |

K, "Disintegration" is one of the best albums ever, but I have to admit, this song's one of my all-time Cure faves as well..
"Open" i really don't know what i'm doing here i really think i should've gone to bed tonight but... just one drink and there're some people to meet you i think that you'll like them i have to say we do and i promise in less than an hour we will honestly go now why don't i just get you another while you just say hello... yeah just say hello... so i'm clutching it tight another glass in my hand and my mouth and the smiles moving up as i stand up too close and too wide and the smiles are too bright and i breathe in too deep and my head's getting light but the air is getting heavier and it's closer and i'm starting to sway and the hands on all my shoulders don't have names and they won't go away so here i go here i go again... falling into strangers and it's only just eleven ans i'm staring like a child until someone slips me heaven and i take it on my knees just like a thousand times before and i get transfixed that fixed and i'm just looking at the floor just looking at the floor yeah i look at the floor and i'm starting to laugh like an animal in pain and i've got blood on my hands and i've got hands in my brain and the first short retch leaves me gasping for more and i stagger over screaming on my way to the floor and i'm back on my back with the lights and the lies in my eyes and the colour and the music's too loud and my head's all the wrong size so here i go here i go again... yeah i laugh and i jump and i sing and i laugh and i dance and i laugh and i laugh and i laugh and i can't seem to think where this is who i am why i'm keeping this going keep pouring it out keep pouring it down and the way the rain comes down hard that's the way i feel inside... i can't take it anymore this it i've become this is it like i get when my life's going numb i just keep moving my mouth i just keep moving my feet i say i'm loving you to death like i'm losing my breath and all the smiles that i wear and all the games that i play and all the drinks that i mix and i drink until i'm sick and all the faces that i make and all the shapes that i throw and all the people i meet and all the words that i know makes me sick to the heart oh i feel so tired... and the way the rain comes down hard that's how i feel inside... ....EDIT..... a happy song for Carrie
R.E.M. HOPE you want to go out friday and you want to go forever. you know that it sounds childish that you've dreamt of alligators. you hope that we are with you and you hope you're recognized you want to go forever you see it in my eyes. I'm lost in the confusion and it doesn't seem to matter you really can't believe it and you hope it's getting better you want to trust the doctors their procedure is the best but the last try was a failure and the intern was a mess. and they did the same to Matthew and he bled 'til sunday night they're saying don't be frightened but you're weakened by the sight of it you lock into a pattern and you know that it's the last ditch you're trying to see through it and it doesn't make sense but they're saying don't be frightened and they're killing alligators and they're hog-tied and accepting of the struggle you want to trust religion and you know it's allegory but the people who are followers have written their own story. so you look up to the heavens and you hope that it's a spaceship and it's something from your childhood you're thinking don't be frightened you want to climb the ladder you want to see forever you want to go out friday and you want to go forever. and you want to cross your dna to cross your dna with something reptile. and you're questioning the sciences and questioning religion you're looking like an idiot and you no longer care. and you want bridge the schism, a built-in mechanism to protect you. and you're looking for salvation and you're looking for deliverance you're looking for deliverance you're looking like av idiot and you no longer care. you want to climb the ladder you want to see forever. you want to go out friday you want to go forever.

We move like cagey tigers
We couldn't get closer than this The way we walk The way we talk The way we stalk The way we kiss We slip through the streets While everyone sleeps Getting bigger and sleeker And wider and brighter We bite and scratch and scream all night Let's go and throw All the songs we know... Into the sea You and me All these years and no one heard I'll show you in spring It's a treacherous thing We missed you hissed the lovecats We're so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully Wonderfully pretty! Oh you know that I'd do anything for you... We should have each other to tea huh? We should have each other with cream Then curl up by the fire And sleep for awhile It's the grooviest thing It's the perfect dream Into the sea You and me All these years and no one heard I'll show you in spring It's a treacherous thing We missed you hissed the lovecats We're so wonderfully wonderfully wonderfully Wonderfully pretty! Oh you know that I'd do anything for you... We should have each other to dinner huh? We should have each other with cream Then curl up in the fire Get up for awhile It's the grooviest thing It's the perfect dream Hand in hand Is the only way to land And always the right way round Not broken in pieces Like hated little meeces... How could we miss Someone as dumb as this? I love you... let's go... Oh... solid gone... How could we miss Someone as dumb as this?

Do I have to hide from everything? Everybody wants a piece of me Reach their origin and cease to be Sit back and let it happen, Let us take your time away. I don't understand you. I don't want your time of day. If you're gonna walk, might as well walk your way Always walk the hallways, Forget the punk, I pack the funk. I'm gonna take a piece of you. Making money for good health, But first I learn to see myself But first I learn to see myself You promised me poems You promised me poems You promised me poems I ruse the day that I ever met you, And deeply regret you getting close to me. I cannot wait to deeply neglect you, Deeply forget you, Jesus believe me You promised me poems. You might have been my reason for livin' I gave up on givin', gave up everything. We were a right pair of believers A couple of dreamers, So how come you hate me? You promised me poems You promised me poems You promised me poems Promised me poems Dreamed of ringing voices, And contemplated choices. Taste like a real kiss, To heighten my awareness. With all fairness, greatness with gratitude. And simply riled with attitude Now do promotion on TV, and ya still can't see. We're down the hill cascade And keep away the masquerade, Dreamed of ringing voices, And you promised me poems You promised me poems You promised me poems You promised me poems That's one of my all time fav songs. The lyrics and the music blend so incredibly well. You get the different vocalists and in the end you get that mellow guitar in there whilst the song just struts on and on and on. Best song on NearlyGod for me. and true love lives on lollipops and crisps

Closely followed by "I Be The Prophet". Tricky makes you see the beat on "Poems". It's like a drunk pony that can barely walk with ghosts swirling around its head.
