THE SADDEST THING What was one of the saddest things that you have experienced in your life? for me it was about three years ago when my uncle had a heart attack. When I first heard the news I couldn't believe it he had always been such a healthy person. When we arrived at the hospital he was sitting-up in his bed looking very pale. I could tell he was so scared and I couldn't stand to see him that way, I tried hard to hold back the tears but that didn't last long, he started crying himself and at that point I lost it, it is so sad to see a man cry.

The saddest thing that ever happened to me was
when my middle baby got polyeneophritis (kidney infection) when she was 3 months old and she had to be in the hospital for one week. She had to have anitbiotics through an IV and it took them forever to get that IV in cause she was so small. I felt so bad for her. makes me sad thinking back on it! edit [This message was edited Fri May 2 19:28:22 PDT 2003 by luv4thepurple1] He calls me "Holi" cuz he says everyday w/ me is like a Holiday...

The saddest thing that ever happened to me was the death of my fourteen year old nephew 01/02/02. He had a two year battle with bone cancer. It still seems so strange to me that he is gone because two days before he went into the hospital, he was begging me for money, just like he always did. He was one of the greatest people I have ever known. I never saw him cry or scream out in pain. He was a great kid, straight A student and he loved me unconditionally. There are very few people in this world who love me like that and I am so much worse off with him not being here.

My aunt died suddenly from asthma some years ago. My uncle adored her, and watching him recover from her death was/is really, really hard.

Watching my boyfirnd's grandfather searching his (my boyfriend's) face for permission to die. He was very sick, and wanted to go, but my boyfriend was very attached, of course. He searched for that permission for days. As he began to fade, he was calling and searching for my boyfriend, almost frantic. Thank God he got to see him, and tell him it was okay to go. Where do I begin...
Well, This is one that comes to mind. Another reason to hate the holidays. A few years back, I had written my friend a letter...This was in August. I hadn't heard back in quite sometime. He lived in another country. Anyway, On the day after Christmas I recieved a letter from his girlfriend telling me he had died in a car accident back in August. She sent one of the last pictures he took, and explained that she wasn't sure how to tell me the news and that's why it to so long for me to hear back from anyone. Well, as I was in tears, someone told me that I should "just get over it!" I'm not sure what hurt worse. The loss of my friend or the remark made by the other! Nicholas..I miss you.
