I started off lurking (and occasionally posting) in the Prince: Music & More forum. But over time, I grew intimidated. I mean - I'm a big fan, I own every album, and quite a few singles; but the level of encyclopaedic knowledge that a lot of posters has just scares me. I thought I was a big fan - until I joined this place. So now I've gone back to mostly lurking over there and posting here instead. Tell me I'm not alone? Encyclopaedic endeavours don't really attract me although I do find it impressive; I am also one of the ones being educated by the likes of BorisFishPaw and Giotto. If you saw my collection, I pretty much just own what's available at my local record store in terms of albums. Nothing in the way of singles and as for associated artists, I haven't heard anything apart from NPG. I don't even know any Madhouse tunes for example.  | |

I've found it interesting joining the Org (I've only just started posting.) I am a total anorak though and freely admit it. But I seek 2 share my knowledge with likeminded people. Prince isn't as popular as he was so there isn't the sense of community there was in the early 90's. The Org provides that 4 me. I can go online and ask a question or answer one. I love it!! | |

Second, one day you posted something along the lines of Prince's fans needing to grow up/mature something along those lines. I was all ready to get defensive when I realized I truly may need to do some maturing when it comes to Prince and realize the Days Of Wild may be gone for good. Anybody that can make me think, I am in awe of them. Thank you. I know that this is an just an online fan community but wherever I can get inspiration, I'll take it. Meek? Lamb? Nah. | |

Well, I only say that type of thing when I feel people are being highly irrational. I don't mind disagreements, we're all individuals and there are going to be disagreements. That's normal.
And then there are other times when I'm being halfway sarcastic - without all the smiley faces and stuff. I think those are the times when I'm misunderstood the most. But if I come on strong, it's only because I think some people are being unreasonable. Actually, I think people are unreasonable a lot, but most times I let it go and pick my spots.
