Does this mean I can use "bling bling" in my dissertation?

and "jiggy" too.

The day I hear any news reporter talkin about "...and we got jiggy... now back to you Hal," I'm through. Not because I don't believe language evolves and we must keep up with the times (because it does and we must)... but because bling bling and jiggy are just CORNY.

I would steer away from those terms in your dissertation.

A helpful hint from Stanley Applebaum.

I was at a book reading this past weekend (Sandra Cisneros at UCLA) and the mayor of LA was on stage to introduce her but before he did he was talking about a "marathon outloud reading" of one of Sandra's books in an east LA school and he said: "So let's give props and a shout out to the kids at..." I forget the name of the school that got the "props," but it was a strange thing to hear...

i would definitely steer away from using terms like "jiggy with it" and "bling bling" in your dissertation, but, i would try to use words like "motherfucker" and "cocksucker" as often as possible.

Let me see if I can use my experience as an English teacher here.

bling bling (n) - I like your new bling bling.

bling bling (v) - Your new ice bling blings.

bling bling (adj) - Your new ice is bling blingy.

In the Oxford Dictionary, the word most likely is used as a noun.
