I haven't seen it yet. I asked my son if he wanted to go see it while he was off school over the Christmas break but he just looked at me like I had 10 heads. Apparently going to the cinema with his mother isn't considered "cool" enough for him anymore

I got the see the first movie In IMAX 3D when it was re-released a few years ago, the 3d and visuals were great. We went to see part 2 the following year in imax 3d as well. I want to see the new movie, but it doesn't catch my attention. I will try to go see it before it leaves the theaters. I hope its good I will say 1 thing that is keeping me from seeing it is that imax 3d is like $22/25 a ticket 😅 I will take my place, In the great below

It's the most beautiful looking movie that I've ever seen. Unfortunately there's absolutely nothing new and it even rips off the first two movies. I mean like directly rips specific sequences and shots off and recycles them. Not sure why Cameron did that. It's literally the first and second movie combined.

I haven't seen the movie yet so I don't know but is it really him "ripping off" the first two movies or is it a case of him deliberately referencing the first two movies similar to how he had a lot of callbacks to Terminator in Terminator 2? A lot of sequels tend to do this kind of thing. Cameron did it a lot in T2 but even other directors have done this in sequels. Ivan Reitman did it with Ghostbusters 2, Robert Zemeckis did it with Back To The Future 2 & 3, George Lucas did it with all the Star Wars sequels he directed. It's a pretty common thing for sequels to reference what came before, whether it be repeated dialogue, similar action sequences, identical shots or whatever.
