From TMZ:

Rob Reiner -- the legendary director -- and his wife Michele Singer Reiner have died ... TMZ has learned.

As we told you ... two dead bodies were found in Rob and Michele's Brentwood home Sunday afternoon -- and law enforcement sources tell us it is the Reiners.

Our sources say the two suffered lacerations consistent with a knife. The LAPD's Robbery Homicide Division is still investigating.

How fucking horrible and sad.

Edit: People magazine reports it was their son Nick who murdered them.

He was set to do a musical with Sondheim, but now that they're both gone.

This is sad though. It's bad that this would happen to anyone but especially to a guy like Rob who was a big part of our lives culturally. I remember him first as "Meathead" and of course he went on to make some of my favorite movies . A Few Good Men and How Harry Met Sally are right up there in my top 25 or 50 movies easily.
