Moments of bliss In either picture or word form, post what you consider to be a moment of bliss. (And I bet you thought that this was going to be duck related )
For me, this is a moment of bliss - just starting to drop down into Oblivion at Alton Towers theme park in the UK. At this moment, I can think of nothing else but what's happening to me at the time. Any worries or cares that I have leave me for these few delicious seconds. So, what are your moments of bliss?

My moments of bliss are playing with the band for our own audience. The greatest kick was Amsterdam Melkweg for 700 people who came just for us.
I'm like a total junkie for that. Here some blissful pictures... http://www.rubberinfo.nl/...oFilm.html But more important: what's that Alton Towers ride like? How does it go? Does it take long? What are the clouds I'm seeing???

My moment of bliss is that feeling right before
you kiss a new love interest for the first time! All those butterflies! He calls me "Holi" cuz he says everyday w/ me is like a Holiday...

When it was opened in 1998, it was hailed as the World's first vertical drop rollercoaster. Basically, you climb slowly up to the top and make your way around the corner. The carriage slowly moves over the edge of the drop and holds you there for a few seconds, looking down into the steam filled hole, not knowing what's below the mist. And then you drop into it. It's pitch black once you're underground (hence the name; Oblivion). It gives an incredible 'out of control' experience. Amazingly, it's as far under the ground as it is above it (the drop is 60m in total, 30m above ground and 30m below). After the drop and the return up to ground level, there's a sharp turn and the ride returns to the station. It's a short ride, but that's all it needs. Any more would be just too much.

My close second is having a weekday off of work with nice weather, treating myself to a nice lunch, browsing a bookstore, stopping for coffee and sitting outside, then proceeding to the park to wander and read and just enjoy outside. Those are most blissful days. |

My moment of bliss was when my daughter was born.
Although it probably wasn't so much bliss for my wife. . [This message was edited Wed Apr 30 17:05:48 PDT 2003 by althom]

Although it probably wasn't so much bliss for my wife. That's wonderful! Mine just might be when I'm with my dad. I love him so much and hardly get to see him. When we act out our favorite movie lines, cook together and have flour fights, jam together, or just talk. He makes me feel so safe and always keeps my feet on the ground. I will forever cherish that. It seems to always be the little things for me that really aren't so small when you think about it. Oh shit, my hat done fell off

My moments of bliss occur when I'm sparring. My reactions just happen naturally and I'm just in the flow. It's like Bruce Lee said, "Not thinking,[but]not dreaming ready for whatever may come." It doesn't always happen but when it does it's a great feeling, to be in the moment. "I ordered no broth! Away with ye lest my cane find your backside!!"- Ralph Wiggum, Actor.
