I'm not too crazy for it either. Glad I didnt buy it. Free ok. I haven't been motivated to play. I get I'm my moods. No rush to finish. I have Control in my PSPlus library. Never tried it. I dont know of the other games. A Plague Tale: Requiem was added to PsPlus a few days ago. I'm excited for that. But havent even beat the first one. Who knows when I'll get around to it. I was so tempted to skip Alen Wake  Social life Not much here. Work, sleep, eat repeat. No kids, just me and my GF. She doesn't mind me playing, I try not to over do it. Plus I get bored quickly I will take my place, In the great below

She doesn't mind me playing, I try not to over do it. Plus I get bored quickly I always find a lot of older games a bit awkward to play. I tried to play the old GTA games recently and absolutely hated them My dad is crazy about Vice City specifically. I know he loved San Andreas but Vice City is the one he really loves. But like I said, I just couldn't get on board with them at all. I think you'd need an Xbox to play play American Nightmare and Quantum Break. Or a PC. But I don't believe those games were ever released on the PlayStation. Luckily, in my new job my hours are 8am to 4pm, Monday to Friday. So I'm home from work at 4.30 every day so I'll hopefully get more games played this year than last year. But I'm still trying to catch up. Unfortunately for me, a lot of the games I like tend to be really long so by the time I've finished one two more have been released. So I'm always several games behind everyone else

So one of the games I love to play is "Dead By Daylight" it's a 1 killer vs 4 survivor game (online) They occasionally add licensed characters. Today they announced Alan Wake as a survivor. What a coincidence. I believe hes voiced by the original actor. Character come with perks. His dont look to appealing to me. Nothing to be excited for, but I'm sure I'll buy him. Characters are fairly cheap. @ GTA5 I believe you could switch characters. I got lost on what mission, character I was supposed to do. And I gave up 😅 Sometimes I get a game. Play it for a week or two, come back months later and not remember where I left off, forget the controls. Then I want to start over or not want to play Some games take comminmit, and just cant  I bought a few older games and I agree, I just cant get into them. I will take my place, In the great below

I got to go back and play a "Pluages Tale innocens" I jumped from level 3 to 10. Theres some great scenery, lighting, also a lot of death and rats. Going stealth can be tricky at times. Get caught you are pretty much dead. As you progress there are ways to counter getting caught. Some sections seem to be trial by error. Over all I'm enjoying it. Good game 👍 I will take my place, In the great below

I won't start another one until I've finished the one I'm on. And in that spirit I have forced myself to continue with and finish Alan Wake. It does get slightly easier as it goes on. Less annoying anyway. Overall I think I would give it a 6.5 out of 10. The game can be a chore to get through and I almost just gave up several times. But the story is genuinely really good and made me want to see it through. With all the talk of movies based on games I'm surprised they haven't turned Alan Wake into a movie yet.

The Ultimate Edition of Control is currently on sale for a tenner on the Xbox store so I bought that and started it last night. I'm only about an hour into it but I can already tell it's a huge improvement over Alan Wake. I'm not sure yet how it ties into Alan Wake 2 but I noticed that with the Ultimate Edition you get a DLC expansion called AWE that seems to include the Alan Wake character so maybe he's not in the main game and is exclusive to the DLC? Either way, very much enjoyed playing it last night and I'm looking forward to the weekend so I can put some more time into it. Just to give you an idea of what to expect, just imagine if Charlize Theron's character from Atomic Blonde was a red head and had Jedi powers and you wouldn't be too far off.

I try to play one game at a time. I have a bunch of unfinished games 😇 I have Control in my PsPlus library along with the AWE DLC. Sounds good, I might give it a try sometime. I finished Plauges Tale: Innocence. Got stuck repeating a few sections for 20+ minutes 😡 only to figure out the pattern and beat it in minutes. There are lots of check points. So when you die it's a quick restart. I played on normal, it went pretty smoothly. There not much to explore. Paths are straight forward. Its challenging at time. Good acting. I thought i knew the story was going, a slight twist near the end. I suck at rating, I'd say an 8/9 for what it it. I'll definitely play part 2. I'll go back to Alan Wake. Part 2 looks and sounds really good. I will take my place, In the great below

I was considering getting it there a few months ago but I was out of work at the time and with Christmas coming I couldn't justify the expense. But things are a little more stable now so I was thinking about subscribing. The only thing is I don't play online. So I'd only be getting it for the monthly "free" games.

Yes! A plagues Tale: Requim is offered for this month. Is PsPlus worth it? I want to say no. Only because it's so expensive now. I've had PsPlus for about 4 or 5 years. I got it on the black Friday sale for $45 a year. It always goes on sale during black friday. Regular price was $60. This year the price went way up to $80! Honestly I didnt want to renew it. It went in sale for $65 and I caved in. I dont play online much at all. But I love Dead By Daylight, it's an online only game. I'm sure you are aware of what PsPlus is. But I'll try to break it down. There are 3 Teirs. (I hope I dont get this wrong) Teir 1. basic You get 3 games a month. Sometimes 4. Online game play, upload games saves Teir 2 You get same as above, but it gives you access to a bunch of previous Psplus games, plus more. Teir 3 Same as above. You can stream games instead of downloading them. There are even more titles. Select game trials, Play a game for a certain amount of time. The free basic monthly games, You add them to your library. Then you can download them any time you want. As long as you have PsPlus. I ve let my subscription expire, renewed 6 months later, and it gave me access to all my previous games I have access to over 185 games in my library. Most games they I've never touched. I gave it a quick look over and I see maybe 20+ games i like. Within the last 6 months they offered 3 games I really wanted. So it kind of justifies having it. Also you can upgrade your teir any time. (for the remainder of your subscription) In teir 2 there were 4 games I wanted to try/buy. Each $25-40 games. I was able to upgrade my account to teir 2 for 5 or 6 months for $30. I was able to try all the games I wanted. That was pretty cool. And I'm glad I did not buy them 😅 I also got to try a bunch of other games I was interested in. Would I upgrade again? Nooo! 😂 I don't have the time to play or money to waste. As for the free monthly games it's a hit and miss. A year subscription should net you 36 games. $80 is ridiculous. If you can get it on a sale it might be worth it. I think I heard that first time subscribers get a discount. But not 100% sure on that. The other 2 teirs..way to expensive Ok I think I've said enough I will take my place, In the great below

I was considering getting the middle tier but I'll wait for the next sale. Knowing that it's recently gone up in price puts me off buying it because I could have gotten it cheaper. I'd feel like a fool now paying extra for it . Plus, I have a few games to play in the meantime so I'm not exactly stuck for something to play.

The middle tier was cool. I think I tried like 10+. It was helpful on deciding on if I wanted to buy the games or not. Thank god, because I didnt like some games. The price hike and black friday sale (last November) I was waiting on the sale to renew my yearly subscription. The sale came but.... because my subscription had yet to expire. It gave me the option to only upgrade my account with a discount, but only for the remainder of my subscription. Which was set to expire in like 5/6 days. WTF I googled online and found that tons of people were upset they could not renew, only upgrade. I dont know if it was a glitch or intentional. Luckily mine expired while it was still on sale. And I was able to get it at the sale price. That's why I caved in and bought it. Damn Psplus! I will take my place, In the great below

They know they have no real competition anymore so they're going to bleed their customers dry. Which is just another reason for me to wait for a steep reduction in price.

I finished Alan Wake. I had no idea it was only 6 chapters, I would have finished sooner. I noticed there are 2 bonus episodes, I've yet to try. I enjoyed the story, not so much the combat. It did get better later on. I YouTubed a video to make sure I understood the ending. the video went way in depth. I'll finish the bonus chapters in the days to come. According to the game statistics, I missed a bunch of items. I'm not interested in going back. I do look forward to part 2. I will take my place, In the great below

I didn't even bother with the bonus chapters. I was told they aren't important to the plot. And seeing as the plot is the only reason I stuck with it, I didn't see the point in playing them. I finished Control and the Alan Wake DLC. It is definitely much better than Alan Wake and genuinely has me excited to play Alan Wake 2. I don't know when that will be though.

That covers the main game as well as the two DLC expansions. So it's not a long game by any means. I'm not specifically waiting for a price drop for Alan Wake 2. I just have other games to play in the meantime. But if it does get a nice little reduction before I get around to it then that's great.

@ Alan wake 2
I think the PS store has a big sale every june. It will probably drop around then. I bought "Ghost and Goblins Resurrection" yesterday. On sale for $10 in the playstore. Its a remake if an old 2D side scroller. Its known for being hard and unfair, and this is no different. Started Plagues Tale Requiem. On chapter 2. I'll probably give Control a try today. I made it to mission 3 on Control. Enjoying it a lot more than Alan Wake. I noticed that it says I purchased the 2 expansion dlc. When I click on them, they have a sale price as if I didnt own them. I assumeing I dont. And I dont see any DLC modes, mission when I start the game. Strange. They were free, I never paid for them. [Edited 1/25/24 14:51pm] I will take my place, In the great below

[Edited 1/25/24 14:51pm] I think you have to finish the main story before you can play the DLC in Control. They kind of just continue on from where the main story leaves off. Ghosts And Goblins sounds so familiar. I think my dad has that on the Game Boy Advance. I remember him talking about it before but I've never played it. I wasn't really allowed to touch any of his stuff I started a game called Another Code Recollection. It's a remake of a game I had on the DS years ago. It's kind of like a modern version of those old point and click games. The remake comes with the full sequel that was originally out on the Wii, which I've never played so that's nice. Something to keep me busy until Final Fantasy Rebirth.

It's a bank holiday here this weekend and I've taken today (Friday) off work so it's a 4 day weekend for me. A perfect time for me to play something. But I don't know what to play. I've narrowed it down to two. Yakuza Like A Dragon or Super Mario RPG. I've heard some really good things about the Yakuza series but for one reason or another I've never really gotten into the series. A friend of mine has given me a lend of his copy of Yakuza Like A Dragon which is technically the 7th game in the series but is apparently a perfect place to start. So I'd love to play that. But! Yakuza is more of an adult game and I really want to play something with my son and the Mario game seems perfect for that. Plus, it's yet another game my dad always talks about as a classic. And you really can't go wrong with Mario. I hope I don't spend the entire weekend trying to decide what to play and end up playing nothing
